Default Chimeras

They can fit more Terminators in them than a Land Raider. What's going on there?

On the Armoured Company vehicle list (on GW's website), it says it can fit 12 men in. Ogryns or models in Terminator armour count as 2 men.

I know it's unlikely for a Chimera to transport Terminators, but it can fit 6 in whereas a Land Raider can fit five. What's going on?

Crikey! This crazy clown causes commotion like the coming of Christ. Contained in a circle corrupted by crackheads and carnal cravings, he creates no concession to callous cheaters concentrating on nought but cock. Certainly, still a curious and cordial cavalier in the countenance of crazed cads, curs and creeps who condemn courtesy as something corny. No cloud could collapse his crushing crescendo of comical crowing and crimson coiffure. This conjecture on culture comes circumlocutive, consequently...

A Landraider neeeds to have room for the reactors for 4 lascannons, and the power to even get the thing moving. And there is also the ammunition for the heavy bolter.

I think it's mostly just an oversight, seeing as there are only 3 ways I can think of that would allow you to ever even put a Terminator squad in a Chimera, and one of those is in apocalypse, and all of them require the use of a largely unofficial codex (Armoured Company).

Remember that Chimera's are massed produced light tanks. There's is no unique and powerful equipment shoved inside it, like a Land Raider. The armour is thinly welded plates, built right into the hull; while a Land Raider is ceramite reinforced and all that Jazz.

I thought it was just because the Land Raider has power outlets where the Terminators can plug in their lazyboy recliners and mini fridge. I'm sure they could squeeze ten Termies into a Land Raider if they stripped out all the luxuries they insisted on taking...but who's going to argue with a seven foot, machinegun-armed super-soldier with a chainsaw strapped to his arm, wearing armour the likes of which makes most tanks look like a Volvo?

OOh! Pimp My Marines! With a jacuzzi-landraider to attract all the Soritas, and some awesome subwoofers in the back.

Imagine some Space Marines rapping this, to the tune of Riding Dirty:

They see him rolling,
They hating,
Patroling and trying to fix him with a dark lance,
Trying to fix him with with a dark lance
Trying to fix him with with a dark lance
Fix him with a dark lance,
Try to fix him with a dark lance.

(rap)
Rolling up 'cos I'm a Space Marine,
Heavy armour so it ain't hard to be seen,
I ride, ride and they see me lean,
Soritas and a TV screen,
Yeah the Canoness, she likes cola,
Mixed in a stolen drone controller,
But then I just try to hold her,
One smack and great, I'm in a coma.

They see him rolling,
They hating,
Patroling and trying to fix him with a bright lance,
Trying to fix him with with a bright lance
Trying to fix him with with a bright lance
Fix him with a bright lance,
Try to fix him with a bright lance.

SM gangsta style.

Haha! Ace. Space Marines already wear enough bling to be 40k's pimp-daddies.
