Default doctrines

well, I've heard that if you choose to do an army, say the tanith first and only, you can have all the doctrines that they have in the back section of the codex, not being confined to the usual 5.
is this true?

That is correct, per the codex,

So yes, they have more then five docturined, only custom docturine sets are limited to 5 or less docturines.

It also re-iterates it much much more clearly in the FAQ.
