Default Question about Grenadiers and Doctorines

Hi,

I was thinking that after the Tau I'm currently doing (pretty much talk though, I'm not that wealthy :P) I would do a drop-troops or Mechanized Greandier Army, mainly to keep costs down (Since grenadiers are pretty expensive Pts wise). But are Grenadiers allowed to use the "Drop Troops" Doctorine?

Also, is there an "Air Cavalry" List? Not Drop Troops, but a whole list where Everyone is alowed to take an aircraft as a transport? Because, IMO, (If I could get that much money/do that much work to get the aircraft), that'd just be Fething Awesome to have everyone streak in, kill everything, and drop troops on top of it!

No.

Grenadiers cannot use ANY Doctrines, as they are not Guard Infantry.

Well, to put it briefly, That Sucks. Thanks for your answer, though.

What about "Air Cavalry" (see 1st Post)?

As far as I know, there is nothing to stop you putting Grenadiers in a Valkyrie.

Right, but what about things like command squads? What Book gives them the Flying-Ness, if there is one? Or could I say that since they can take a Chimera they can take a Valkyrie?

And yet again, thank you for your expertise.

Normal Guard units (including Command Squads) can only take Valkyries in a Drop Troop army.

The rules for the Valkyrie are in IAvol1. It has the same transport capacity as a Chimera (they left that out of the initial entry).
