Default Judgement call - Line of sight?

In the situation pictured below, would you say the Leman Russ has line of sight on the Demolisher? Obviously, it'll be obscured if it does, but is this line of sight at all? Do you count the dozer blade as part of the vehicle?

That's definitely in sight. The dozer blade is an upgrade, so it has to have it's downsides. That's why I like representing it passively. That second picture shows it as in sight WITHOUT the dozer blade too...

I would say no, but that just my oppinion. I see it as utterly untargetable, and even if it hits it can in no way harm it. Then again, maybe i shouldn't have watched that Tanks! marathon on the discovery channel ;D

If you ask me, dozer blades don't count as it's not the hull of the tank. Hitting the dozer blade will do very little except damage the dozer blade. I really wish there was some kind of rule where if you could only see a part of a vehicle, that's all you could hit (so weapon destroyed results where you can only see one sponson can only remove that sponson)

Great, that's two ayes and two nays. I guess if we have no conclusion by tomorrow evening I'll just have to allow it. :-\

This reminds me of the TSOALR sketch where the Sergeant gets shot in the banner pole...

I would say no here; you've got 1% of the tank visible if that, and you need at least 10-25% to allow a shot in my opinion.

A no from me as well, because as has already been said its only a very small part of the vehicle, and even then its not the hull of the vehicle.

You can see the hull, you can see the foward part of the... it would be the left track from this angle. Purhaps a D3 on the glancing hits if they manage to penatrate?

No.

It doesn't exactly prove anything but in games like Mordhiem, you can have whole weapons/arms sticking out and still not be seen so long as the main body/base of the model is hidden. I think thats pretty fair as otherwise everybody would have boring undynamic models.
