Legal lizardmen! Now with Piccies!

Default Legal lizardmen! Now with Piccies!

I was thinking recently, how could i make them legal?

of course, with guard doctrines, [i know, it's not the most original idea, but who doesn't want lizards in 40k?] use:
warrior weapons
jungle fighter
hardened fighters
ogryns and
rough riders

what do you think?

i am going to use a carnosaur as a base for my sentinel.
a stegadon for my basilisk and cold ones for rough riders.

saurus have hardened fighters and skinks have jungle fighters.
saurus pure assault while skink use firearms. [sort of]

I love looking back to yesterday, to see how we performed.
Then, looking to today, and seeing how we've improved.

Unfortunately, looking back to the things posted here, I realised I can now do much better :3

Aren't Saurus warriors a little big and strong to be guardsmen?

Shouldn't they be used as ogryns, or are you going to use Kroxigors as ogryns instead?

I could work...... But it seems to me that guardsmen and lizardmen don't really mesh well... But that's just me.

sounds good to me. Makes no sense fluff wise. I mean theyd just be eradicated. But i like it. ;D

I'd take camelion over the jungle fighters.... it's a lizards trait that it blends in.

Not a bad idea.

However your 'skinks' cant use firearms as such. Warrior weapons afftects EVERY TROOPER that dosnt have a sepcial/heavy weapon

no piccies yet but but i have recently decided to get rid of the ogryns.


they aren't unfluffy because in the IG 'dex it never specifies that they MUST be human, the kanak skullmuffins are more huge mutants anyway.

my paint scheme: black base
dark angels green skin and scales
dark green ink+ a little black to wash over the scales
bleached bone stripes sideways down back.
tin bitz weapons.

the carnosaur looks amazing, thanks much to lee* for saving the colours [it looked rubbish before i got him to come around]. it has a little skink on the back screw it, i 'll just post a pic when i get the time.

i have a HQ, almost 2 legal troops and 2 fast attack, 10 rough riders [with 5 hunting lances] what do you guys think of blowpipes as laspistols? i say they have toxins on their planet that can easily incapacitate normal men [hence the 4+ to wound guard]


BTW, i only really went for this because they clash so nicely with my other armies. and the cool conversions.

theres only 1 reason i didn't add chameleoline, no 2, first is that you can't combine it with jungle fighters and second because it would be expensive [pts wise].

no, i like the infiltrate, it seems to fit in, plus a 4+ cover save in jungles is pretty handy is you actually battle in that terrain. i'm gonna get the fluff up sometime in the week hopefully, it's a bit long though. but well detailed.
