Taipan is the leader of the ferralian jungle fighters [my first guard army], he may be included in any guard army of at least 1000pts.
he has the following stats and weapons and may not take any additional wargear.

** CostWsBsSTWIALdSv

Taipan100453334394+/5+

Weapons and equiptment- Longbow, Tigions claw, carapace armour, refractor field, frag and krak grenades. Special Rules: Longbow- the longbow carried by Taipan is lethal at close range and has the option of explosive bolts, it follows the these rules;

StrengthRangeAPType

324"6assault 3, rending

at a cost of +5 pts he may carry explosive bolts , they have the following stats;

StrengthRangeAPType

518"5heavy 2 small blast

* he may only use one bolt type per turn and has an unlimited supply. Tigions claw- The massive blade carried by Taipan was taken from the corpse of the fierce beast, the Tigion, it has features similar to the big cats seen on terra but has the size of three men. the blade measures the length of his arm, it counts as a power weapon that wounds on a roll of 3+ due to toxins. Jungle training- Taipan was raised on a world similar to the savge world of catachan, his men have jungle fighting to a level equal to that of the Catachan. He and any army he joins will automatically gain the Jungle fighters ability free of charge. Independant character scout ps.* i can't decide a points cost for this guy, can anyone give any suggestions?

How about 100 points it's a good round number and it's about worth it

It's been a month, but this board is pretty dead...
No jungle-fighter would wear carapace armour. The Longbow rules are aweful; 18" S4 AP5 Heavy2 is the very best you'd get from it with explosive bolts, and without it would be S3 AP- or worse. Make the Tigion's Claw wound on a 4+; that's normal for poisoned weapons. Noone's going to give you free Jungle Fighter rules; make him a character for a Catachan army, if that's what you want. |
