They were in the ol' BBB. They were also supposed to be in Codex: Sisters of Battle, which never came out...

In short, they're out of date. Shame, really, as they were pretty cool...

Yeah, they are out of date by the rules, but they are still very useful.
You can use them as: priests, zealots, retinue members, necromunda gangmembers etc.
They are also cool models. That alone makes them worth owning

Probably because in the back of the old book they where pretty much the same as each other.

Not really... they were no more "the same" as a Guardsman, JO and HSO are the same... they're different ranks in the same army.

If he's an out of date Character, does that make him legal for the IG hero board?

And if not, could you think of rules that might reflect how the confessors and missionaries were to be used? (if they're in fact any different from priests).

Heya,

They are present specifically in the Witch Hunter codex by name. They're now part of the Adversaries rules. When facing Witch Hunters, your opponent has the option to take some of your adversaries options, which includes a few different things from psychic powers, to new HQ options, to more model options, etc. They represent rogue psykers and apostate cardinals. You can read more on page 39 of the Witch Hunter codex, and after that page, you'll find their individual stats and rules.

Cheers,

Don't know where Codex: Sisters of Battle did not come out but that did come out in my area late in second edition and they are in it.

Missionary and Confessor on page 55, Uriah on page 62 for what it's worth.

Oh wow, I never noticed them back there with the Adversaries before. Thanks, Mal!

I'm not referring to 2nd Edition, I'm referring to 3rd/4th.

Codex: Sisters of Battle was supposed to be released, but was scrapped in favour of Codex: Witchhunters. The Sisters were just merged with the Ordo Hereticus.
