Default Praetorian hussars/rough riders

were there ever any models for the Praetorian Hussars that are displayed in the old guard codex in the regiment pictures section?

Nope no Praetorian Roughriders were ever produced I'm afraid.

they definitely need some new RR models, some that can be generic fo just about everything, yet slightly different to cadians.

It would be nice, in the meantime conversions are possible though, both cadians and catachans are relatively easy to do with a little work on the legs - the classic metals can likewise be done with a bit more work. Alternatively all ranges bar the Steel Legion and Vostoryns have torso components either for the old heavy weapons gunners or from the plastic kits, its a simple matter to pair these up with normal Roughrider legs or another approptiate pair of cavalry legs from the WFB range.
