Background : Commanded overall by the infamous Colonel 'Iron Hand' Straken, the second contains the elite of the elite. The very best warriors Catachan has to offer. Even the best of the best, Sly marbo the 'one man army' is enlisted under the ranks of the 2nd.

Born from the hostile jungle of Catachan the humans of the planet are hardy, reliable and have the skills and brute to survive the most inhospitable locations. The men of the 2nd, just do it better

2nd Regiment: Malokasky 2nd, the Emperor's Shield
Commanding Officer: General Ottokar
Homeworld: Malokask
Battlecry: For the Emperor, for our home!
Background: To come soon

3rd Regiment: 98th Kelbornian Airborne, the Helljumpers

Homeworld: Kelborn
Battlecry: Feet first into Hell!
Background: To come soon

4th Regiment: 18th Skirmishers
Homeworld: Tundaria
Battlecry: N/A
Background: The 18th Skirmishers are a legendary unit of Guardsmen on the planet of Tundaria. The regiment comprising mostly of recon elements. Units in the 18th Skirmishers specialize in reconnaissance and espionage. They are frequently called upon by other regiments to aid them with scouting and disruption.

5thRegiment: 11th Siege Corps
Homeworld: Munitia
Battlecry: (Coming Soon)
Background: The 11th Munitian Siege Corps are a regiment specialized in storming heavily fortified positions. A favoured tactic is sending in Heavy Tanks (Namely The Leman Russ and Vanquisher) to smash their way into enemy entrenchments whilst a Heavily Armed, airborne Valkyrie unit is dropped deep into enemy lines destroying zones vital to the enemy (ammo dumps, communications towers etc).

6th Regiment:75th Demiscan Rifles
Homeworld: Demiscus
Battlecry: None
Background: The 75th Demiscan Rifles are the most decorated out of all the Demiscan siege regiments. Their elite trench raiders are rightly feared for their uncanny ability to infiltrate and destroy vital enemy systems inside the enemies own trenches. When attacking, they prefer short, quick artillery strikes immediately followed by mass infantry assaults and heavy tanks, although the tanks are hard to come by.

7th Regiment: 240th Milroyian Regulators
Homeworld: Milroy, Olympia System
Battle Cry: "Do it Now"
Leadership: Colonel Tye and Commissar Hackum
Background: half penal legion, half elite veterans; the Milroyians are a stubborn and hardy people known for their unorthodox deployment tactics, odd tank configurations, and their legendary leader colonel Tye (see special characters forum)...

8th Regiment:125th Galchinians, "The Hellcats"
Commanding Officer: Colonel Augustus Kell
Homeworld: Galchin
Battlecry: Silent and Swift/ For the Emperor
Background: The Galchinians hail from the relatively backwater world of Galchin. Because the world is so geologically young it is still extremely volatile, and has an abundance of megafauna, making the Galchinians very tough people. One species of megafauna in particular is a large cat-like mammal that the first colonists named The Hellcat. This huge cat, weighing in at over 900 pounds, stalks the steaming northern jungles of Galchin. The Galchinians, and the 125th in particular, specialize in recon and jungle warfare, though they do have the capability of assuming more straightforward roles should the situation call for it. The planet itself is rumored by some to be an Eldar Maiden World, and there are many sites of standing stones and other monuments all over Galchin. It comes as no surprise, then, that both the Ordo Xenos and the Ordo Hereticus have an interest in the Galchinians and their homeworld.

9th Regiment
3459 Cyprus guard
Comanding officer-Commander Alexi
Home world(s)-Cyprus 4,5,7,8,9,10,12
Battle cry-fa la la la la(in a death metal scream)
Background's system of cyprus has many habitable words and those that weren't were rich with resources. They worlds became forge worlds and produced many vehicles unmade by any other forgeworld. Then in the 38th millennium the warp storm gale4 souranded the system for a thousand years.Through out this hell a few people survived and with the help of the Raptor space marines they escaped on a space hulk. Few remained however and those that did went into the eye of terror with the space hulk. The Inquisition has reported many transmissons requesting reinforcements.Their fate is thus still on the side of the Emperor.

10th Regiment: 31st Armiger Regiment
Commanding Officer : Junior Officer McGrath
Homeworld : Agramah
Battlecry : "For Victory We Shall Stand!"
Background : (Under Re-Work) : Whilst the 31st Armiger Regiment is still young, this unit has begun to distinguish itself in the urban wars of Agramah. The dense cities have proved to be an almost improbable task for the Regiment, but the flanking troops of the regiment have already begun to prove their developing skills. The unit was handed over to Jr Officer McGrath after Colonel Klavinski questioned the order for a Siege Assault Regiment. The Regiment has recently been reinforced with large numbers of drop troops from it's own reserves as and has been backed up, on occasion, by the Elysian Drop Troop Regiments.

11th Regiment: Regiment: The 72nd Royal Scipiiian Rifles
Commanding Officer: Prince Neums Scipii
Home World: Medteranos
Battle Cry: Victory and Honour
Background:The 72nd Royal Rifles are the 72nd such infantry regiment formed in the Scipiians Royal Lines, with Armour Regiments being much more common and ususaly much more sucsessful. However after his brothers death at the for front of the 72nd Neums vowed to take the regiment to greater and greater victorys to honour his brother soul.

12th Regiment: 'The Warp Daemons'
Commanding Officers: Colonel Huegorst Kriff
Homeworld: Tarsiss III, destroyed
Battlecry: "Until death we shall serve!"
Background: The shattered remains of the 'Warp Daemons' are experienced and grizzled veterans, having their numbers dwindling from an entire regiment of PDF troopers to no more then a handful of platoons, thanks in part to the Nurgle Daemon Prince known as Damius.
Although what remains of the regiment remains strong in mind and in body, the regiment has suffered such horrific losses that it has been deemed by Imperial authorities too small to be of any value through merging with other shattered regiments. And as such, it has been taken on by Inquisitor Holt as his personal small army when he is actively hunting the Four Winds of Chaos, of which the Warp Daemons have a deep affinity with and a loathing for.

13th Regiment: 1171st Conscript Battalion, "The 1st Reglanders"
Commanding Officer: Colonel Erwin Smouse
Homeworld: Regland +++Obiting the gas giant DHP-163.34a+++
Battlecry: "We stand to die, but die we do not!"
Background: -Main site-

After the Regland Beta Compound engagement was concluded by the fateful arrival of the inquisitorial ship ‘Righteous Perils’ Captain Mothman was posthumously promoted to General with his skull being sent back to holy Tera by his commissar. As for the rest of the 1171st Conscript Battalion they were nicknamed the 1st Regland under the command of Colonel Erwin (ex-sentinel pilot). They cleansed their new homeworld with the help of a Space Wolves contingent. They still exist today and pride themselves in their elite sentinel squadrons and superior storm troopers.

Most commonly called upon to fight in arctic and subarctic terrains along with brutal meatgrinders that urban environments prove to be. Only the best conscripts survive to become the 'emperors finest'...

14th Regiment: Therendal 3rd,
Commanding Officer: Colonel Hail (deceased), between leaders, current one designated Super Mutant.
Homeworld: Therendal (officially a dead world)
Battlecry: "Fight for the Living!"
Background: Very little of the original regiment is still around, mostly reinforcements in the form of conscripts. Since hive fleet Behemoth Therendal has been completely barren, which remains unreinhabited (word?), so conscripts come from other neighbouring worlds. Famed for its motorbike riding outriders led by Sergeant Keel, who distinguished himself in the First Cairn campaign.

If not, I propose we begin the Tau Online 1st Army.

I'd kindly add my 98th Kelbornian Airborne to it.

Another proposition, JD as the Lord General.
If Tau Online needs conscripts sign up the 1171st Conscript Battalion!

Seriously what would this achieve? How could the '1st TO' do anything or be part of anything? What is the point in the '1st TO'?

I like the idea. I wouldn't mind fighting a few battles on behalf of the regiment. It seems like a lot of fun.

Why not?

Sweet!

If there is too many people in the 1st Tau Online Army, do you think we may have to create the 2nd Tau Online Army?

My troops are awaiting your orders

Sign Me Up!!

4th Regiment: 11th Munitian Siege Corps
Homeworld: Munitia
Commanding Officer: Senior Officer Benjamin Breeg (No....No I did not steal that name of Maiden ;D)
Battlecry: "Bring our steel rain down upon the enemy!!"

They have fought across many warzones, Including the Damocles Crusade and the recent Medusa Campaign and although they are always almost certainly outnumbered, their armoured tanks can blast their way through the thickest of foes.

But City fighting is were this regiment really excels above the rest. Many a warmaster has reccommended (or been reccommended) this elite fighting force for urban combat zones. Their tanks can hold of entire streets with their fullisade of firepower as the smaller, chimera mounted infantry units push through the flanks and crunch the enemy into lethal vice like formation. The final blow comes from the sky, as the heavily armoued figures of the commanders retinue punish the rear lines with their tactical expertise.

But seriously, a Guardsman, I'm willing to bet, could a) outshoot me, b) give me the beating of my life, and c) shove more squad-based tactics down my throat than I'd ever care to digest. Guard are hard, hard men. Whether or not GW's inconsistent, Marine-worshipping fluff keeps with that, mkay?

Real men fight in tanks!
