Default Close Order Drill?

Hey.

What I would like to know is, when you put units in Close Order formation, can they move and assault in that formation and still maintain the granted +1 Ld and +1 I?

Thanks.

Since you only have to be in base-to-base contact to preform COD, then I would assume you can still move and assault.

I "remember" something about the unit being charged, and not being able to assault and gain its benefit.

Hardened fighters + Warrior weapons + COD + Priests + Stormtroopers = Assault IG. Yay.

You can uses it to assault aswell as long as your troops are positioned as the diagram in Codex Imperial Guard dictates, which will be extremely hard to do...

Actually, you only have to have the models in base-to-base contact. Meaning you can perform any crazy formation you wish, so long as there is no table between the models.
