Default Armoured Company Question

If I have the following:
Tank Ace w/ vanquisher + AC Anti Tank Rounds

If I fire the vanquishers battle cannon, am I doing 4d6+Str armour penetration (vs. Vehicles)?

That would be 2d6+Str for the vanquisher and +2d6 for Anti Tank Rounds. The anti tank rounds do say to add to the normal value, so I guess I am just curious is this is accurate.

Thanks!

I doubt it, because I'm assuming that by normal value they mean the strength of the round, not the S+2ds the vanquisher gets. And besides, the vanquisher is better than an AT round upgrade, as it can move and fire, as oposed to the AT upgrade, with which you must not move to fire it.

Not to mention that s+4d6 would be extremely unfair... auto glances armor 12....

True, GW assumed no one would question such a rule. Exact wording can be misleading, but as a rule of thumb, both are using special AT rounds. I would imagine that a Vanquisher always carries these rounds, and a normal Leman Russ may have a few lying around.

So, I don't think so.

But heck, that would be nice!

Vanquishers already have AT rounds, you cannot take them twice.

Incidentally, I hate the new AC for that. Only Vanquishers should get Vanquisher shells. Stands to reason. Plus it's just sick to have 10 of those things firing in a turn.

Vanquishers seem kinda like the Tau tank to me... It's strange that it has to be agreed upon (by all involved) to be used in a game.
