Default Yet another of those "which big tank..." questions- answers needed!

This one is for real.

While I work slowly on my fake baneblade (emphasis on the slowly) I recieved an e-mail from my aunt in London asking me what I wanted for my birthday...

I figured Forge World stuff wouldn't be as expensive for her becasue she's in the UK... so now of course I can't decide what I want.

And I'm asking you guys for help.

Especially people who have bought from FW before... which reasonably priced (for the UK) hunk of tank gets you the most "bang for your buck?"

I was thinking one of those b-e-a-utiful Vanquishers... bu then I had a look at the flyers... and so on and so forth. I need help to decide.
And remember it has to be something cheap enough for an "extended family" gift.

NOTE: I also like the terrain at FW too...

Get the Gorgon. :P

In all seriousness, I'd get a one of those dead sexy Vanquishers (although those Gorgons are pretty hot themselves).

But seriously, a Guardsman, I'm willing to bet, could a) outshoot me, b) give me the beating of my life, and c) shove more squad-based tactics down my throat than I'd ever care to digest. Guard are hard, hard men. Whether or not GW's inconsistent, Marine-worshipping fluff keeps with that, mkay?

Real men fight in tanks!

Yeah, I think I'll go with the Vanquisher.

Seems like a good tank, and it's complete kit is cheaper than the others.

personally i'd always go with conquerteors or exterminators, because of the huge number of shots!

(woo this is my 200th post!)

get a gorgon a transport that can hold 50 guys is totally sweet... all the leman russ tank varients are pretty easy to convert yourself i found anyway...also the cadian command squad that comes with the scanner is pretty sweet as well.

You must have really rich relatives if they give superheavies as birthday gifts.

The scanner is, admittedly, very cool but I hate the squad that comes with it and tactically the scanner doesn't have a place in my army... especially for 60+ pts. (I mean it's just a glorified auspex- what were they thinking?)

An Executioner... I'm in love with mine... (Even though the main armament kinda looks like a mans privates. :-\ )

Or my Stygies Vanquisher is good too.

They're both very fun to paint, and very fun to play with.

id say to go for the conqueror- sweet model and a massive number of anti infantry shots (3 heavy bolters and the cannon itself!) on the chasis of a russ? and if you get bored of shooting things to bits it would make a rather suitable demolisher.
