Default Chimera weapons

What should I equip my first chimera with , I face tyranids , marines , necrons , chaos and possibly more at my club that I am not aware of.

so hull mounted - heavy bolter or heavy flamer ?

and turret weapons - Multilaser or heavy bolter or heavy flamer ?

I'd be grateful if you could give me advice

I'd suggest looking at the role of the unit and then of the entire army. If you are using the unit as a countercharge vehicle (such as that attached to a cc HQ) then Heavy Flamer and Hull heavy flamer would do the trick. I'd assume your first one is for your HQ anyway.

If you want to use it to support a normal line squad (shooty) give it the multilaser and heavy bolter.
Try to keep your weapon options simmilar IE long range with long range, short range with short range, AT with AT and Aniti hoard with anti hoard. The reason for this is that you'll be forced to use both weapons on the same target, so if you mix and match you'll lose effect.

SO basically: If its and assault orientated HQ, use the flamers, if its anything else go with the guns.

I have to agree with Wargamer on that point.
Sure the flames look nice and toasty, but your troops will disembark from this very vehicle. And I'll doubt they would fancy some friendly fire. (Literarily speaking)
Go for the ML+HB. The mere quantity of shots makes even marines tremble in their
stockings.

definitely. if you face power armor and 'crons a lot then weight of fire helps. and against tyrnaids a HB is a good thing and I haven't ever used a multi-laser before but it should work about as well, maybe even better.

heavy chim = multilas, hvy bolt, pintle stubber (plus HK missile if you are so inclined)
assault chim = flamer, flamer, armor, smoke (to get in position) the poor man's hellhound
gruntkiller chim = hvy bolter, hvy bolter, hvy stubber
just like cookies
there are many kinds, and all of them are good

a lot of the value of the chim to me is the heavy weapon of the squad inside it - the 'heavy chim' layout is nice when you have a meltagun or a lascan riding in the back - then it is just as good a tankbuster as you can get

I'd discourage making a chimera too expensive without some other armour drawing fire. Remember it's only AV 12 ans sometimes opentopped as well. Make sure that if you have a heavily tooled chimera it's not the only tank on the field as it WILL die and rather quickly at that.

Are the lasguns on the chimera allowed to fire up to full range even if the vehicle has moved, or does it count with the infantry's half range rule?
