Make him a Commisar with plasma pistol, combat weapon, take Independant Commisars, or give him cameleoline (sp?) (as far as I'm aware you can't make him independant and give him cameleoline (sp?)) Also keep the sergeants (platoon leaders) set to a certain time period (must be from Honour Guard onwards if you include Hark so maybe Arcuda and Raglon? Varl, Obel etc.etc. just ask me for names) and if you go from Sabbat Martyr or afterwards give him bionics and maybe Macharian Cross. That should just about cover it I think.
Also on a sidenote, don't use a priest. I know they have Zweil but he doesn't fight so he shouldn't be used.
