Default Wargamer's Characters

Wing Commander Wesker:
Born on the Navy-world of Valkyre, Wesker was born to be a pilot, as is everyone on his world. As a pilot, Wesker excelled, proving his skills at a young age. Whilst he was a ferocious dog-fighter, it was not long before he was transferred to the Valkyre 205th "Grave Diggers", a Marauder Destroyer wing. His ability in these ground-assault gunships was phenominal, and time and again Destroyer 117, "Ghostrider", would emerge victorious where it seemed no-one could succeed. It was clear Wesker and his crew were destined for greatness, and Destroyer 117 was transferred to the elite Valkyre 42nd, the Valkyries. Even within this elite force, Wesker stood out from the crowd. As his career progressed, his skill grew until there were few could match him, either in tactical skill or combat prowess. He was duly appointed Wing Commander, and assigned command of the Valkyries.
Wesker skill runs combat-operations, leading from the front whenever he can. The enemies of the Emperor have learned to fear the distinctive white, gold and black colourings of his warbird, and unnumbered are the enemies who have mankind who have fallen to its bullets, missiles and bombs.

Any Imperial Guard army of 2,000pts or more may include Wing Commander Wesker. He is purchased as an upgrade for a Marauder Destroyer, and must be used exactly as described here.
Equipment: Two Autopistols (+1 A, fires as a TL Autopistol).
SPECIAL RULES:
Elite Pilot: Wesker must be mounted in a Marauder Destroyer (his flyer, Ghostrider). The flyer must have the Decals and Ejector Seat upgrade.
The Marauder benefits from the following modifications:
When destroyed, Wesker always successfully ejects.
As Wesker recruits only the best gunners, all weapons are Bs 4.
Due to Wesker's skill as a pilot, his Marauder may re-roll any failed Reserve Rolls.

ruleswise it seems alot like Maximilian Weiseman, basicly upgrades the super heavy to BS4. have you made a model for him? IIRC you have a marauder destroyer.

A good model could be made from the "Gresae Monkey" pilot/driver figure from the Last Chancers set. Bandages, torn uniform, slung oxygen mask, it could work.

Cannon Fodder:
Officially designated "Sapper Team Alpha", the squad known as "Cannon Fodder" are a team of expert sappers and field-engineers. Over time, their skills have developed far beyond simple wire-cutting and bomb-prepping, turning them into an elite covert team.
Their nick-name is something of a reverse-curse. Despite what it suggests, Cannon Fodder have emerged from every mission unscathed. They have crossed enemy-held bridges, snuck past sentries, bypassed armoured columns and worked their way into the most heavily-defended facilities, all in the name of espionage and sabotage.
No-one knows where they come from, no-one knows where they go. All that anyone can say for sure is they are the best at what they do.

CostWsBsSTWIALdSv

Trooper*443313185+

Cannon Fodder may be taken by any Pure Guard army (they only fight with their own Regiment, or as part of a larger force). They replace the Special Weapon Squad.
Squad: The Squad consists of 6 men; Jools, Jops, Stoo, Tadger, Eric and C.J.
Cost: The Squad as a whole costs 100pts.
Equipment: The entire squad has Frag Grenades. In addition, individual members are armed thusly:
Jools: Laspistol, Chainsword.
Jops: Meltagun, Melta-Bombs.
Stoo: Lasgun, Demo-Charges.
Tadger: Lasgun, Mine-Sweeper.
Eric: Lasgun, Magnoculars.
C.J. Lasgun, Krag Grenades.
SPECIAL RULES:
Superb Infiltration: So skilled is the unit at moving into position that they do not deploy with the army. Instead, they are held in Reserve, even if the mission does not allow Reserves. When they arrive, deploy them into any terrain feature (so long as it is not in the enemy deployment zone). They may move, shoot and assault normally on the turn they arrive.
Jools: Jools is a masterful commander, and knows exactly where to deploy his men. The squad may re-roll any failed Cover Saves.
Tadger: Tadger's Mine-Sweeper allows him to locate and disarm booby-traps with ease. So long as he is alive, booby traps (such as minefields, Catachan Booby Traps, etc) cannot affect the unit, and are destroyed if passed through (the team disarms them). In addition, Tadger counts as having an Auspex.
Eric: Eric's magnocs allow him to range-find and track enemy activity, even in total darkness. The squad ignores Night Fight rules so long as he is alive.
C.J.: C.J. is an expert with Grenades. So much so, he can use them as a ranged weapon! He counts as having a Grenade Launcher, but with a range of 6".

CITYFIGHT:
If you are using the Cities of Death rules, then the unit always counts as having the Combat Engineers Stratagem.

Creative and non-cheesy... simply superb!

I love the engineer/sapper team... I always wanted GW to make cool models, like teh engineers featured in Cities of Death, and accompanying rules.

Any word on how these guys performed in battle?

Cannon Fodder actually did really well for me. Played a Cleanse with them, deployed them in a building centre of the map first turn (decided not to use their Infiltrate). They managed to kill a Librarian and a 10-man Assault Squad with no losses!

Captain Xyver Cade:
A commanding officier in the Terasen's Emerald Guard, Xyver Cade is a ruthless and efficient tactician, as well as a seasoned front-liner. He leads the elite of the elite, and his forces are always ready to deal with any potential threat. There are few who can match his ability to command, and fewer still who would dare face his armies.

CostWsBsSTWIALdSv

Xyver Cade140443324394+

Xyver Cade is a HQ choice. He replaces the standard Imperial Guard Officer. The cost given includes his Command Section.
Squad: Xyver Cade and four Stormtroopers.
Weapons: Xyver Cade is armed with a Plasma pistol and Power Sword. The Stormtroopers are armed with Hellguns or Hellpistols and Close Combat weapons.
Options: The Stormtroopers have access to all options available to the retinue of an Imperial Guard Officer, with the exception that you cannot form a Heavy Weapon team.
SPECIAL RULES:
Emerald Guard: Due to their extensive training, Xyver Cade and his men can make use of any and every tactical niche. They have the Infiltrate and Deep Strike special rules.
Stormtrooper Army: To represent the forces of Terasen led by Xyver Cade, the following rules apply to any army led by him:
Only Grenadier units may be purchased as Troop Choices (note: the army does not have access to Doctrines). These Grenadiers may purchase Infiltrate and/or Deep Strike.
All Stormtrooper units automatically receive Infiltrate and Deep Strike without having to purchase them.
Heavy Weapon Squads, Heavy Weapon Platoons and Special Weapon Squads may not be taken. Rough Riders taken automatically have Carapace Armour at no additional cost.
Any Advisors taken automatically receive Carapace Armour at no additional cost.
No vehicles, except Chimeras, Sentinels and Salamanders, may be taken in the army. Flyers are exempt from this rule.
