Depedns on how much your willing spend, wether you like tanks, if you have the rules and if you know someone that will let you play it.

You have to let people use it.

Well, I would say "yes" if you're willing to spend money, because they allow you to lavish lots of attention and detail on single tanks, as well as the fact that everyone seems to like them. They're just so freakin' cool.

The downsides are that a minimised army can cost anywhere from $225 to well, almost $250.

they're as good as any other army really. but they'll probably be very different fom your first army, giving you a change of scenery.

If you are set on crushing the little green plant-men, the evil marines, or the little blue freaks with big guns, yes. They are lots of fun... all the details can be found on the GW UK site.

I think you will find that UK site is a lil broken atm... very few of the PDF files actually work properly.

If you want the Armoured Company Rules (Chapter approved) click here

People rarely ever win a lot when they first start a new army. After a while, however, you will begin to find your playing style and begin to kick everyone's ass. As for the battle force, not really the best thing to start with. Just get tanks, add a few AF squads in there too.

But seriously, a Guardsman, I'm willing to bet, could a) outshoot me, b) give me the beating of my life, and c) shove more squad-based tactics down my throat than I'd ever care to digest. Guard are hard, hard men. Whether or not GW's inconsistent, Marine-worshipping fluff keeps with that, mkay?

Real men fight in tanks!
