Default Major Query...

Okay.... the entry for caommand platonns states.

the '(@)' are the skuls :P

Quote:
(@) 1 Command Platoon (@)
a command platoon consists of a command squad and 0-5 support squads...
... etc. etc.
Yet our FoC still has two slots for a HQ choice.

Any ideas?

It just means that regardless of how many support squads you have (0-5) it only counts as one HQ choice.

No no no... thats not what i mean.

It states

(@)1 command platoon(@)

Meaning we can only have one command platoon.

But the FoC suggests we can have two due to having two HQ slots.

Then they're pretty thick... "1 Command Platoon" means 1, no more or less.

The extra slot exists for allies - SoB or GK heros, Inquisitors, or even Kroot.

The new dex was made before the allies rules though wasn't it?

And dosn't allies allow for it's own seperate FoC to be included alongside the proper one.

Well, remember, you can take 0-5 commissars as an HQ choice.

The other HQ slot is so you can take allies (eg: Daemonhunters, Witchhunters, Deathwatch Kill-Teams), or Special Characters.

So we would have to take a special character or allies?or can we just take Commie-tzars instead?

It's for allies.

Remember, it takes a long time to make a codex. I'm sure there are several being worked on as we speak, albeit in different stages of completion. It is quite concievable that they could have "exhanged notes" when working on these two codexes.
