This Doctrine cannot be taken with Catachans!

Explosions abound (Catachan Doctrine)
The regiment is famous for their great use and employment of traps.
2 troops choices become heavy choices
Each platoon may purchase a single trap of any kind, instead of a heavy or special weapon. (this is deployed as normal)
Each assault squad MUST contain at least one demolition charge
No snipers may be taken
Infantry platoons have access to mortars at +10 points for a heavy weapon.

Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition!

All Inquisitorial allies (NOT grey knights or Sisters of Battle) may choose to deep strike and when they do onbly roll one dice for the whole group; they all come in at once

"Fluff Guard"

All Infantry units suffer -1 to all characteristics.

However, the player gets a free 1000pts worth of Movie Marines which deploy onto the tabletop on turn 4.

Umm... and the down side is?

Plus there is a similar, more balanced version of that in the official rules. 'Light Infantry'

Desert fighters
+10 points per infantry unit
- Infantry (including veternas and stormtroopers) gain the 'go to ground' rule described under Ratlings when in desert terrain.
- May deep strike if the mission permits if playing on desert style boards.
-May move using slow and purposeful if firing a heavy weapon.

The lasguns/laspistols thing is kind of pointless since they're exactly same to autoguns/autopistols stat wise anyway. I know people who use autoguns in this way already. The assault cannon may be a bit over the top, both fluff and gamewise, but the Heavy Stubber thing is a good plan. Stubbers just scream "cool" if you ask me, and they're not at all out of character.
