Default Carrying Cases

Just curious if anyone has purchased/tried the new GW tank carrying case? I have 4 tanks in my IG army but I am finding the antennaes, searchlights keep breaking off in the current GW cases. I saw the Tank Carrying Case (hopefully people know what I am talking about) but I included a pic if you don't. Just wondering if it is worth the $55 and does it protect the tanks as well as they make it seem?

In future, please just go back and fix your post, rather than double-posting.

I've got one, and yeah they do a pretty good job. My tanks are arranged like in the picture you posted, and they're nice and secure like that.

I prefer making the carrying case myself. I just bought a metal inforced suticase for mere 7 english pounds. And rubber foam you can get for free at several places.
So the pros against buying the gw version is that by making it yourself, you would save 48 pounds, it fits 6 tanks insted of only 4. It is stronger, and has got keylocks.
The cons are that the suitcase is slightly heavier, and if you lose your keys, you'll have a hard time breaking it open.

$8 and 1 hour.

go to walmart and pick up the $6 plastic stanley tool box. It is about 8x20" with a tray. Go into the sewing/craft section and pick up a pack of 1" foam cushon for reseating chairs. Purchase and go home.

Cut 2 peices of foam to fit in bottom of tool box. Put one in tool box. Take a marker and mark outline of 3 or 4 tanks in other peice of cut foam. cut out sections marked. Set in toolbox on tope of other peice of foam. Place tanks in cut out sections.

Take the other $47 and buy more toys.

Really? I have done the same kinda. I bought plastic boxes with dividers for my guardsmen, but I have to try this out!

Well I am not sure what type of painter you are but when you have won golden demon awards, best painted army at RTT and Hall of Hereos throwing my guys in a box just doesn't seem to make the time worth painting them worthwhile.

you won golden deamons?

i would like to see some pics.

as for the tool bos, they work very nicely, if you insulate them properly. honestly though i dont play with tanks and gave mine to my brother for his LatD. i use the gw case for my catachans and it works fine. the ultimate decision is up to you, and i would suggest cutting corners to save money where you can.

Who cares about a 45.00 USD tank? I sure as heck do! I'd like to see your golden deamons too.
