Default Imperial Gaurd Armored Company list less cheesy

Imperial Guard Armored Company list

PURGED

I came up with this army because my friends always complained about how cheesy my orginal army was so i made this one and think that it is less cheesy but still highly effective. Tell me what you think

Well, I would like to see your "cheesy" list, as too often "cheese" is just a result of your opponent being a sore loser and not knowing how to play the game very well.

In the mean time... switch the Vanquisher! Make it an Exterminator and use all those shots to good use.

Wargamer might get angry at those Bassie's, but you have a decent amount of standard tanks and even if the Bassilisk *is* an un-fluffy tank, it's a pretty good one used rightly. I also doubt you will need Indirect Fire. It's pretty expensive, you could fit in more vehicles using that 50pts and also it just seems silly trying to guess between 36" and >150", you better practice your ranges.

My Chessy list as my friends called it was only 1000 points it was just the vanquisher, the destroyer tank hunter, the 2 battle tanks and the basilisk in all the battles ive played with them ive only lost once and that was a fluke on my part, that and me being hung over

You used 3 Battle Tanks and 2 Support Tanks and won most every game you played?! Whoah!

BTW, that list would not be cheesy... it would be bad. I am litteraly quite surprised how you managed to pull off a 1k game with 5 tanks.

please dont post the costs in individual models weapons and upgrades. since this information is copyright we're not allowed to post it(despite the fact that its free on the website)

just post:
10 stormtroopers
2 plasma guns
chimera with mulit laser turret and hull heavy bolter
205

otherwise the legions of GW lawyers will decend upon us, raining legal death.

as to your army list, i dont think the bassies are unfluffy. but i do think they are crap, and you'd be better off cutting them and getting more russes. with armoured companies its always good to try and get asmany cheap basic tanks as possible, to boost your low model count.

i like the fact that you've got 4 infantry squads, when playing armoured company most poeple like enclosing everything in AV14 and then just sit back. also you might want to think of getting veteran sargeants for the armoured fist squads, to boost their low leadership.

IMHO there are way too many troops in the force. An AC list should be tanks tanks tanks more tanks and an armoured fist squad. but only if you really want the armoured fist.

Do not take Vanquishers as a HQ! This is the first, and simplest rule of the Armoured Company!

You want a cheap tank, like the Exterminator, as your HQ. Vanquishers go in Elites.

As stated, too many infantry units by far...
