Default Paradroping

Well i was looking at paradrop for an amy i might make and i decided that its sexy as hell, asuming i am correct as always.

So u drop 10 men right well cant they rapid fire thier las at 12 inches?

This seemed very nice to me since with vetrans u can paradrop 3 plasma guns in rapid fire range bye bye devastator squad.

And with 6 plasma shots* u can just about kill any tank from behind.

On the down side u get charged in return but* anything* that can withstand 6 plasma 2 stormbolter shots and 12 las shots cannot assault u with much force. Unless they are marines in packs of 20.

And yet another great thing about this is that they have to assault backwards to kill these guys off Giving your* heavy weps and ordance even more shots against them.

1 problem may b overheating thats y i am curently debating carpase armor might use it might not.

Also a squad like this with 3 flamers can do some serious dmg.

I just like the ability to rapid fire with deepstrike.

Anyone have any ideas about this?

it sounds pretty cool

i neva thought of doin that with plasma weapons and your right bout the assaulting there not gonna have much to do it with

another thing you could prolly do is use a heavy bolter with it (extra 3 shots) in replacment of a plasma weapon (which only give 2 although it migt be slightly stronger)

I could be wrong but I think deepstriking counts as movement preventing you from using a heavy weapon. You might want to condiser deep striking a platoon command squad of veterans with powerswords and las pistols and a junior officer with pistol and powerfist. They're able to make back a surprising amount of their own points against high cost units like marines, terminators, and necron warriors. Or the enemy will foolishly charge them instead of your shooting units which he will end up regretting ;D

Well sentenls can be droped also and they can combine to the melee horror since they can fire thier weps when they move. As well as the secondary stubber.

As for deepstrikeing powerwep command squad its a bist risky cuz what happens if they do shoot u? Ur hq dies like nothing

Unfortunately, Sentinels can't be given pintle-mounted stubbers... but other than that - yes, heavy weapons fire when landing!

You can't give veterans powerswords (they're officers only). And yeah, they'd be fragile as a... can't think of a good analogy. tissue paper on a rainy day, or something. Also, that junior officer can be picked out in combat (he's an IC) - a better option imo is to give powerfists to attached commissars

The point of this is to eliminate most of the enemy models so that they no longer pose a threat in an assault.

So if i took any cc abilities i would go with vets with powerweps and comissiars with powerweps things like that.
