Default New Elysian parts from Forgeworld

Forgeworld has released pics of some new Elysian kit, much like the cadian upgrade packs released recently.

Link for all the stuff:

Lascutters are fluffy, that's what they are.

They'd use Meltagun rules.

Shotguns disappoint me... everyone knows the Elysians use Marine-style shotguns!

Ya lascutters are probably just another name for meltaguns, althought I have no idea what the scanner is for :-\. Probably some extra equipment for the elysians in the taros campaign book :P.

I would've expected the shotguns to be a lot more compact like their lasguns (which are awesome IMO ). And I have no idea where all the shells should go.....the shotgun looks so thin it can only take a single shell (while even current military shotguns can take at least 5 before reloading).

The respirators are cool, but I like the cadian respirators more for my cadian guardsmen, maybe I'll get some for my Gue'la, it will give them a more elite look.

Greetz,
Col. Alexander

Ick! That shotgun looks like mine!

I don't think in the year 40,000 they'll have a shotgun like a Remington pump, unless it's in a museum!

Anyways, some of that is really cool stuff! I really like teh BT stuff, though...

For the respirators the Cadian ones are much better looking IMO, but I prefer the Elyssian shotguns to the standard Imperial style.
The las-cutters are tools as far as I'm aware, used for cutting through bulk-heads and such, and normally only used by workers and landing/breaching partys.

I reckon FrogeWorld should stop making things in resin. That way the price would be low enough that it would make no difference. (actually thinking about it that would be abad idea. Suddenly all armies would have FW stuff, and people with them would no longer be a rarity)

its not the resin itself that costs so much, its the fact that forgeworld want to keep there stuff rare. for example its more expensive to make plastics than metals, but GW still charges us a fortune for blisters. same thing with FW
