Default starting mechanised guard

im starting a mechanised guard army but i want to put alot of care and attention into making it unique,
i will be having two infantry squads with two "chimeras" and a "russ" (im aware of the 50% rule but as I'm not using it for tourneys i have agreed with my opponents)
my choices for these are

maybe for the chimera

and for the tank

what id like to know is your thoughts on how to intergrate cadians and perhaps vostroyns into the army
i.e. coversion ideas

What 50% rule?

And what are "vostroyns".

I like that "Chimera tank, if you can get em and they're cheaper than the GW kits go for it, just remember you won't be able to use it at any official GW events, and many RT tournaments.

I would also love to know what this "50% rule" is...

i faintly remeber seeing somewhere that no more than half of your models should be non-GW proxies. What this was in reference to or if i just had a stroke and imagined it, i dont know.

Could you perhaps mean "Vallhalans"?

They're a previously exisiting guard regiment and I've heard faint inklings of a rumour that they were going to be release as plastics.

They are being changed apparently, because Vostroyans are supposed to look like czarist russian troops. It makes sense, because the word "Valhalla" doesnt really conjure the right imagery.
