If you were to take 1,2 or 3 squads of Storm troopers as the troops choice with drop troops can they now deep strike?

No. They are not Guard Infantry, and thus cannot benefit from Doctrines.

If you take stormtroopers as a troops choice it is because of the 'Grenadiers' doctrine, which does not allow you to pay the 1pt. per model cost to deep strike them. If you have the 'Deep Strike' doctrine. you can't use it on stormtroopers because they aren't "Infantry". I don't think it is a good idea to combine these doctrines.

he's right, if you want a deepstikeing army then your better off with stormtroopers oother than grenadiers. the only point to greandiers is for fluff or a cheap compulsory troop choice.
