Default New to 40K

Hi,

Im pretty much new to 40k (Veteren of Lord of the rings/mirkwood), and have just started my first army.

I have so far,

30 Cadian troops
1 HW bolter team,(will go into 1 of my three squads.
1 special weapon support squad/3 snipers, 3 guard CC
1 Chimera, multi laser, pintle mounted stubber, dozer and hunter killer
1 veteren squad W/missile launcher(catachan bodies with cadian heads, convo's)#
Commisar, powerfist
psyker
Sentinel, Cadian pattern

Question:

What would you suggest i get neat for my army?

Where can i find the stat line for a Power fist?

Is it worth giving a Psyker the Honorifica Imperalis and a force weapon?

"For the Imperiumr"

Thanks

Karl

Question:

What would you suggest i get neat for my army?- an HQ would be nice.

Where can i find the stat line for a Power fist?- double the strength of the user

Is it worth giving a Psyker the Honorifica Imperalis and a force weapon?- that is what they tell me, so do it

"For the Imperiumr"- spell check is there for a reason

Thanks- no problem

Where can i find the stat line for a Power fist?- double the strength of the user<-and no armour saves

Is it worth giving a Psyker the Honorifica Imperalis and a force weapon?- that is what they tell me, so do it<- its the only reason you should take it other than fluff

A tank. Maybe three. You'll want an HQ, too, as said, but you can cobble a command group out of your existing figures in the short run.

The rules have been explained, except that the user of a Power Fist effectively strikes at Initiative 1. Not one less. One.

I don't particularly think so. The only reason to do that is because you're looking to pursue an HQ group that's all kitted out for close combat meanness. Trying to turn an HQ group into a close-combat unit will do three things. It will allow you to approach competence in the close combat arena. Not equal anybody else, mind you, just come close. It will also soak a huge amount of points up in your army list. Almost enough points to buy, like, a tank. Last, and most important, it'll cost you your HQ, and whatever leadership bonuses it may grant your squads, probably at the most inopportune time.

So I'm not terribly fond of the whole "Beefy Psyker" thing. But that's just me. Others on the forum here swear by them. They're just not my style.

Oh, and you should totally get a few dozen Grey Knight terminators to use as allies. 'Cuz they're dead sexy.

I'm kidding. See the Allies thread currently operating.

Other than the HQ and go for a couple more heavy weapons and a standard Leman Russ.

I personally like my sanctioned psyker with a force weapon. When he rolls well it's awesome. For me he's a sort of suprise assault unit backing up my Heroic Senior officer and ogryns. I wouldn't recomend taking him though until 1500 points, otherwise it's too much of a sink.

dont take it that seriously, i found out later that imperium wasnt there. :-X

if you go for tanks, you might as well go for sentinels too.
