Total: 751pts it's a list i mad eup for a upcoming tournament i'm entering, hoping it'll do ok, just want some advice, i'm thinking of taking a hellhound instead of the storm troopers chimera... if your wondering the command squads are set up wierd, well they are... the SO's squad is gonna footslog it with the Jo's squad just behind them, the SO's squad and the JO's squad will open up into a small squad of the enemy, then the SO's squad will assault, the next turn the JO's squad will back them up... thats 4 Str 3 power weapon attacks with 12 St 3 attacks 1st assault in the 2nd assault thats 3 Str 3 power weapon attacks with 20 St 3 attacks when the other squad charges... which is good considering beforehand 2 flamers, 4 bolter shots, and 12 lasgun/pistol shots...

instead of the chimera, think about sentinels with autocannons or somthing like that. they ate a little safer from what i understandabout city fighting.

The Chimera will only get bogged down and destroyed in Cityfight. I have played Cityfight for a long time, and what you want is more troops, and tough-as-nails tanks, and Sentinels. Use the points from taking out the Chimera to get more men. Cityfight is complete slaughter, and you want to simply have more meatshield capacity as possible. Also, don't give Stormtroopers a Chimera either, for the same reason. Give your troopers deepstrike or something, but the plasma guns work just fine. I hope I wasn't to late, but I just wanted to give my two cents. |

vets would also be better than your stormies, cause you can get more for less.sentinels with auto cannons would also help alot with any big enemies you may face

I would replace the missle launchers with flamers to be more mobile. Chimera, in this case if you still want to use them should have a heavy flamer so you can storm the enemy.
Also you should get a melta so you can take advantage of the cover and sneak up on tanks.

scrap both chimeras, get a demolisher. Ive never lost a city fight, and thats cuz demolishers are death made flesh(steel) at close quarters and that back armour 11 make it beautiful, means only tau basics can harm it.

change the hull-mount on the chimera to a heavy flamer...and find a way to drop 5 points...
