Default Codex: Renegades

I've noticed a lot of people liking the armies that have left their "parent" recently.

This could include kroot mercs, Farsight enclave (or whomever it is) exodites, harlequins, LATD, Rebel marines (who haven't gone chaos), Feral Orks, Vespid colonies, lesser chaos god worshippers/daemons.

Anyone got the know-how and elbow-grease to work on this one?

Your list of "renegades" caused a rather painful spasmic convulsion upon reading, solely because of how bloody ignorant of 40K it is!

Hardly rogue... not in the way you mean. He just does things differently.

exodites, harlequins,
What in the Seven Hells of Baator!? Exodites and Harlequins are not Craftworlders who "ran away", Exodites are Pre-Craftworld for starters! They saw the coming of the End Times and left everyone else to it; the Craftworlds didn't catch on until it was too late.

As for Harlequins, they are recruited from all the other Eldar groups to serve the Laughing God. They are not 'renegades' by any measure; quite the opposite, in fact!

LATD
You know, this could be the only rebel faction you've actually listed...

Rebel marines (who haven't gone chaos)
So, you want a Space Marine army of one Marine...

Feral Orks
They aren't "renegade", they are technologically inferior Orks. You can still field them using Codex: Orks quite easily; just don't take anything more complex than a Trukk, and count Warbikes as Boarboyz!

Vespid colonies
Which have never, ever been described as anything but totally loyal...

lesser chaos god worshippers/daemons.
I hear Games Workshop have two new armies that are coming out in a few years time to cover these; the Codices will be called "Codex: Chaos Space Marines" and "Codex: Daemons". If you want, you can make your own until they come out, but it may be best to wait...

Short of some massive revision as to what this Codex is meant to represent, I'd consider it a non-starter and move on.

Furthermore, we already have a Codex Renegades on TO- while it hasn't seen much activity lately, the Alliance of Tet Krom is a codex project initiated to catalogue some original human renegade factions.

Wargamer, some people don't know EVERYTHING about 40k. Like you do :

Shakey, I've made my own Renegade forces in the past, and if you need help, just private message me.

Maybe renegades was the wrong word to use. I should have said Codex:Offshoots.

I was implying a codex that had elements from others, but wasn't the basic core army.

So sorry if I offended you Wargamer, I'm so sorry my knowldge isn't up to yours and I used the wrong word....

And Isn't there a Space Marine faction caled the Soul Drinkers or something, that hate the current Imperium and Chaos equally? Whilst they are hunted by the Imperium they still fight Chaos?

But why one Codex? Half of these guys won't work together - Eldar and Chaos are mortal enemies for starters!

I'm meaning one codex with all the rules, but not as one army... Kinda like EoT or Armageddon.
