For a unit to take a mark of "god" ascendant, the squad must be in sacred number of the specific mark's god or a multiple thereof.
Dreadnought or defiler can take; a mark of Khorne for x pts (+1 attack) or mark of Khorne Ascendant for x pts. Mark of khorne ascendent gives +1 WS, +1 Attack and furious charge. The dreadnought must reroll any sane results on its crazed roll. a mark of Slaanesh for x pts (+1 Initiative) or mark of slaanesh Ascendent for x pts. The dreadnought gets +1 Initiative and may take a blastmaster for x pts, and other sound weapons etc a mark of Tzeentch for x pts (5+ Inv Save) [Vehicles can have cover saves now, so why not Inv?] or mark of Tzeentch Ascendent which allows a 4+ Inv. and must take one psychic power at points listed. a mark of Nurgle for x pts (+1 Armour all around) or mark of Nurgle Acendant which gives Blight grenade launchers, and has the ability to regrow weapons, like parasitic posession in the old dex. However, it is now subject to SaP. Posessed, Chosen, Raptors, Havocs: a mark of Khorne for x pts (+1 attack) or mark of Khorne Ascendant for x pts. Mark of khorne ascendent gives +1 WS, +1 Attack and furious charge. a mark of Slaanesh for x pts (+1 Initiative) or mark of slaanesh Ascendent for x pts. Slaanesh ascendent gives the user + 1 Initiative, and allows each member of the posessed squad to have the "Scream of Slaanesh ability". Treat as a flamer. a mark of Tzeentch for x pts (5+ Inv Save or + 1 to inv) or mark of Tzeentch Ascendent which allows a 3+ Inv. and gives all members the "Trickery of Tzeentch" Psychic power. Place the large blast amrker on target unit after succesful psychic test. The strength of the blast is equal to the strength of targeted unit. If there are multiple strengths in the unit, use the most prevalent. Armour saves are taken as normal, and it uses the model's base strength, not strength increased by weapons/abilities. Saves may be taken. a mark of Nurgle for x pts (+1 Toughness) or mark of Nurgle Acendant which gives Blight grenades, + 1 toughness and feel no pain, though reduces I by 1. Rhinos, Predators, landraiders, Vindicators a mark of Khorne for x pts or mark of Khorne Ascendant for x pts. Mark of khorne gives allows the vehicle to cause D6 strength 5 wounds to any unit it makes contact with durting the movement phase. Armour saves may be taken as normal. Khorne Ascendent confers daemonic possession and increases the amount of attacks to 2D6. a mark of Slaanesh for x pts or mark of slaanesh ascendent for x pts. If a unit wishes to charge a vehicle (non walker) with the mark of slaanesh, the vehicle counts as moving 6 inches more than it did. (4+ to hit if stationary, 6+ if moved 6) This is only in CC. The Mark of Slaanesh Ascendant may take up to two lesser noise weapons (can't remember name) or one blast master for x pts. It counts as having the abilities of mark of slaanesh as well. a mark of Tzeentch for x pts (5+ Inv Save) or mark of Tzeentch Ascendent which allows a 4+ Inv. and the vehicle alwats counts as moving 6 inche sless when it comes to firing weapons (if it moved 12, counts as 6 etc) a mark of Nurgle for x pts (+1 Armour all around) or mark of Nurgle Acendant which gives Blight grenade launchers, and has the ability to regrow weapons, like parasitic posession in the old dex. If this mark takes armour above 14, the armour stays at 14, but AP 1 weapons count as having AP 2 against the vehicle, and AP 2-0 count as having ap 0. Bikes: a mark of Khorne for x pts (+1 attack) or mark of Khorne Ascendant for x pts. Khorne Ascendant changes the riders mount to that of a juggernaut. It also confers +1 WS and Furious charge. See the lord section of Codex:CSM for details on mounts. The bike loses its twin-linked bolters. a mark of Slaanesh for x pts (+1 Initiative) or mark of slaanesh Ascendent for x pts. The bike becomes a beautiful seeker of slaanesh. The unit now has the rending special rule. See the lord section of Codex:CSM for details on mounts. a mark of Tzeentch for x pts (5+ Inv Save) or mark of Tzeentch Ascendent which allows a 4+ Inv. and mounts the on a disc of Tzeentch. See the lord section of Codex:CSM for details on mounts. a mark of Nurgle for x pts (+1 Toughness) or mark of Nurgle Acendant which gives Blight grenades, feel no pain, -1 Initiative and is now mounted on a plaquin of nurgle. See the lord section of Codex:CSM for details on mounts. It still seems a littll bland..... |

My biggest grief with the latest Codex was the lack of ability to personalise your champions and you ended up with copy-pasta lists.
Hence when I wrote my own codex: http://grimdarkness.net/index.php?topic=154 I worked in the ability to upgrade unit champions with some of the older upgrades (like Juggers of Khorne for Khorne Berserkers). Perhaps you could do something similar? |
