I decided to create my own special character. Let me know what you think of it please
Name: Shas'o T'au Kais Shi Mont'ya Points: 245 Stats WS - 5 BS - 5 S - 5 T - 4 W - 4 I - 5 A - 4 LD - 10 SV - 2+ (4+) Equipment Crisis battle suit OR XV22 battle suit TL Plasma Rifle Missile Pod Shield Generator Advance Iridium Armour Advanced Target Lock Spear of N'dras Power Weapon. This artifact was discovered on the world of N'dras, a world abandoned by the Empire long ago for reasons unknown. The spear once belonged to a great Shas'o of the world but died from a fatal wound caused by a Tyranid Ravaner. Tyranid Hunter The fame of O'Kais and his army was achieved from fighting Tyranids. Unlike most Tau, he enjoys close combat as much as long ranged fighting. Because of this Tyranids are treated as Prefered Enemies for Him and the rest of the army. Bodyguard O'Kais may be accompanie by a retinue of 1-3 Crisis Battle Suits as detailed for a commander, unless he is wearing an XV22 battle suit. Advanced Iridium Armour - Able to move in the assault phase Advance Target Lock - Can fire both weapons at seperate targets without having to take a Leadership test. P.S. I'm not too sure about the XV22 battle suit stuff though. It does seem a bit much.

This should be in the 40K Creation forum, not here. Edit: ninja'd by a Wargy
If you want the XV-22 armour, this character is grossly overpowered (3 weapon system on a small xv22(which is an experimental suit, not a mass produced one) is way too much. Lose the Advanced iridium armour, Iridium arnmour is a special wargear currently going into field testing phase, it's way to early to have a newer verison of it. Standard Bodyguards is 0-2, not 1-3, but most people shouldn't mind trhe extra one. For the stats, I think hes overpowered. WS5, BS5, S5 and I5 is really unrealistic. As well as 4 attacks. (especially for a stealth suit) you will have to drop some points away. I don't know with the spear and the Favour enemy, he sounds like an Tyranid killer version of O'shovah. He's not the worse case of 'broken' design but he will need some reworking.

OK, thanks for that. It's helped quite a bit. I wasn't too sure about the XV22 suit anyway.

BS5 is completely fine for a Tau of that rank.
Str5, as well as many of the other stats is mostly not though. An XV82 might be more for what your looking for. The armor could stay, but the spear wouldn't... Tau just aren't meant to have a good CC unit.

Tau dpn't do close combat, in making tau close combat is like putting an earthshaker on a skullgrinder, it's unfluffy and i find it irritating, and what exactally are the rules for an xv22?

The first number is the mass class, the second is the designation. A 2 in the second slot means the suit is experimental. However, many people seem to think of Shadowsun's suit as "THE" XV22 and usually build off of it.
