After playing dark crusade i decided tau needed this so here yeh go.
Drone Harbinger points Front side rear bs 110 13 12 10 3 Wargear: A Drone harbinger is equipped with a pair of burst cannons and a turret mounted drone control unit. Weapon range S Ap type Drone control unit 36 - - heavy 1 control* Options: Replace burst cannons with: - smart missle system + 10 points Special Rules: -Control: Any drones deployed from the harbinger must keep inside of the range of the drone control unit at all times if they exit the field at any time in the game place the drone on its side, it may not move shoot or assault that turn but it may be shot at or assaulted any units shooting at it counts as having +1 BS, If it returns to the control field it resumes play as normal in the following turn. If the harbinger suffers a penetrating hit at any time all drones on field are destroyed ones in the vehicle are unaffected. -Slow deployment: the harbinger must deploy up to two drones per turn it may deploy up to four but rebooting the drones may cause a powersurge (see below) the drones operate in units of two and each unit counts as an independent character for the purpouses of joing otherunits of harbinger drones. -powersurge: if deploying more than two drones foll a dice for each additional drone on a 2-5 they are unaffected however on a 1 they are counted as destroyed and on a 6 roll one d6 on a 5 it gets a glacing hit resolved as normal on a 6 it gets a penetrating hit, resolved as a normal penetrating hit this does not destroy all drones on field, instead roll a dice for all drones (including passengers) on a d6 roll of 6 they are destroyed. Transport Capacity: 8 drones Access Points: 2 side doors

Technically the Tiger shar are the tau drone harbinger (with a payload of 14 gun drones), but this being said a smaller one could be interesting.
What are you basing your model on? The Devilfish frame or somethnig different?

That's an interesting interpretation, but it seems far too complicated. Whilst it does replicate how the Drone Harbinger works in Dawn of War: Dark Crusade (and Soulstorm for that matter), it's too detailed for 5th Edition 40k, in my opinion.
I've actually created my own rules for the Harbinger, and am halfway towards an actual conversion, so I thought you may be interested to see the rules I've come up with for it. Drone Harbinger Heavy Support choice A variant of the Hammerhead Gunship, a Drone Harbinger is a mobile drone construction facility. Lightly armed, a Harbinger is not intended for front-line action but works best slightly away from the conflict whilst producing a constant stream of Gun Drones.

Armour

Points Front Side Rear BS

Harbinger 140 12 11 10 3

Type: Tank, Skimmer Crew: Tau Fire Caste Unit Type: Vehicle Weapons: A Drone Harbinger is armed with two twin-linked Pulse Carbines. Options: A Drone Harbinger may be equipped with any of the vehicle upgrades permitted by the Tau Armoury. Special Rules: Drone Factory: Whilst the Harbinger is in play, your Drone Squadrons that are removed from play may be brought back into play at the beginning of the next Tau Empire turn. The unit is placed as if they had disembarked from the Drone Harbinger (counting it as an open-topped vehicle for this purpose only). Kill Points are scored as usual for the squadron and its replacements as if they were entirely separate units.
And Boneguard, we're talking about the unit named Drone Harbinger as seen in Dawn of War: Dark Crusade and Dawn of War: Soulstorm. More information on the Drone Harbinger can be found here.

I really like the Drone Harbinger in Dawn of War and have often thought that it would make a fun addition to the Tau armoury.
If you wanted to keep it simple how about a devilfish transport option for a drone squad? OR A Harbinger (devilfish) - Heavy Support Option - that transports 2 squads of drones each 6 strong , can only deploy one squad at a time though... Nice and simple and doesn't over complicate the issue. Third Sphere

Is there anyway to make it where it has an "Endless Swarm" like the Tyranid guants have? It would be cool to see this thing cranking out Gun Drones until it is destroyed. I guess you could write some some sort of fluff which says that the Harbinger gathers up the destroyed Gun Drones and then refurbishes them like an Xbox 360. lol
Also I noticed from another thread, that the Gundrones with the Devilfish count as Wargear and opponents do not score kill points from destroying them. This Harbinger seems like it coudl create some serious advantage (at least where kill points are concerned...)

I saw the Slow deployment and Transport Capacity, but somehow I missed the Drone Factory rule. Looks pretty cool? Anyone up to modding a Devilfish for one of these? I am getting a few in the mail which I won at a very good price on Ebay. From the looks of the Drone Harbinger on Dawn of War, they don't look very different from the Devilfish. What do you think would be needed in order to convert it?
