Well, why not... I've done the Daemons, so let's do it all! ;D
In this thread, I shall be going through not only the armies of 40K, but the rule mechanics of 40K in an effort to remove all that I find abhorrant and wrong with the game, and put in things that should have been there from day 1. When 5th Edition comes out, I'll review and modify them accordingly. Now, where to begin... Codex: Chaos Space Marines Here's just a few quick tweaks; more will be added as I have time to properly review my rulebooks. Additional changes will include new wargear, and a new vehicle entry... Army Composition: The Chaos Codex now has "allignment" rules. In order to be Alligned to a specific power, all Lords and/or the Daemon Prince must have the Mark of the God in question. For example, if you include a Chaos Lord and a Daemon Prince with the Mark of Tzeench, your army is Tzeench-alligned. An Alligned army may not include units from the opposing power (ie: no Noise Marines units in a Khorne army!), and no unit may take an Icon or Mark from an opposing power. "Undivided" armies may mix Marks freely. You may always choose not to allign your force. Armoury: Blissgiver: Replace existing entry with the following; Counts as a Daemon Weapon. In addition, any model directing attacks against a model armed with the Blissgiver halves their Weapon Skill, rounding fractions down. Lash of Slaneesh: The Lash now moves units up to D6", not 2D6". A unit may not be moved by the Lash more than once per turn. New Addition - Bedlam Staff: One-handed Power Weapon. Any model wounded by the Bedlam Staff strikes at Initiative 1 in the next round of combat. New Addition - Bilesword: One-handed Power Weapon. Always wounds on 4+. New Addition - Axe of Khorne: One-handed Close Combat weapon. Any To Wound roll of 6 ignores Armour Saves and causes Instant Death. The Army List: Chaos Lord: Add to "Options - may replace close combat weapon with one of the following" the below entries: Axe of Khorne (models with Mark of Khorne only) - 30pts. Bilesword (models with Mark of Nurgle only) - 20pts. Lash of Torment (models with Mark of Slaneesh only) - 15pts. Bedlam Staff (models with Mark of Tzeench only) - 30pts. Daemon Prince: Daemon Princes are now a 0-1 entry. Obliterators: Obliterators are now a 0-1 entry; No man shall ever again be allowed to field an Iron Warriors army! Khorne Berserkers: Cost reduced to 20pts per model. Ws reduced to 4. Unit gains the Blood Fury special rule: Units with Blood Fury must always charge if there is an enemy within charge range. Khorne Berserkers are an Elites choice unless the army is Khorne alligned. Champion may take an Axe of Khorne for +30pts. Plaguemarines: Increase Initiative to 4. Blight Grenades count as Defensive Grenades. In addition, enemy units suffer a -1 To Hit modifier on all attacks a model armed with Blight Grenades. This does not apply to units with the Mark of Nurgle, including Daemons of Nurgle. Plaguemarines are an Elites choice unless the army is Nurgle Alligned. Champion may be equipped with a Bilesword for +20pts. Thousand Sons: Initiative reduced to 1. Sorceror no longer compulsory. Remove The Sorceror Commands rule. Thousand Sons are an Elites choice unless the army is Tzeench Alligned. Noise Marines: Noise Marines are an Elites choice unless the army is Slaneesh Alligned. Lesser Daemons: Lesser Daemons may purchase one of the following Marks of Chaos: Mark of Khorne (+1 Str) - +2pts per model. Mark of Nurgle (Feel No Pain) - +3pts per model. Mark of Slaneesh (+1 Initiative) - +2pts per model. Mark of Tzeench (grants 12" Str 3 AP 3 Assault 1 shooting attack) - +4pts per model.

Man, your shafting their armory pretty badly.
If anything. Lash should keep the 2d6, but use your rule that they can only be affected once. Blissgiver...Well, as a Tau player I never saw the big deal with this weapon. Usually the guy would get shot before doing anything. The one time it got into close combat with me, the weapon killed it's holder!

Maybe, again, it's the players in my area, but they really don't use blissgiver much. Maybe if it was available to a a stronger model.
