Default XV98 "wrecker" Battlesuit

As the Tau expansion continues they have encountered many foes who have adapted to the tank hunting abilities of the broadsides by sneaking units around the back of the army to kill them in combat. To combat this, the Tau earth caste made the XV98 by adapting the classic XV88 model by adding additional armor, making damaging them in combat significantly harder for troops without specialist kit. The extra armor left additional room, which has been filled with more hard points for weaponry.

Pts: 150
Ws: 2 Bs:3(4) S: 4 Front: 12 Side: 11 Rear: 10 I: 2 A: 1

Type: Walker Crew: Tau Fire caste. Unit type: Vehicle.

Weapons: Twin-linked Broadside Railgun.
You must purchase 2 twin-linked Battlesuit weapon systems or a pair of seeker missiles. (You will have a twin-linked Railgun, and either 2 weapon systems, 4 seeker missiles or 1 weapon system and 2 seeker missiles)

Options: the XV98 always has a targeting array, and may take any of the following vehicle upgrades: blacksun filter, target lock, disruption pod, decoy launchers.

I am currently making a model for this, just picture a fatter broadside with 4 legs, arm mounted railguns, and a vehicle hatch + scanners in place of a head.

comment/criticism welcome

This looks like quite a good 'suit. Good job, although the weapon choices are quite confuing, and I'm not sure what's going on here, I know the Railguns are the base of fire, but, what's the secondry weapon(s?)? I do however like the idea of seeker missiles on a battlesuit. For the battlesuit weapons entry, first, tell us what your base weapons are (I think they're the Railguns, no?), then, I'd allow 2 additional hardpoints, both for weapons. Also, give the option of 1-2 Seeker missiles.

Modelling wise, put the railguns on the shoulders, the seekers on the back, and the additional weapons on the arms. I must admit though, I don't know what to say about the points cost, ask someone else.
Hope this works out for you!

The Twin railgun is the primary weapon system, then there are two secondary weapon systems: these would be twinlinked battlesuit weapons. You can replace one of the secondary weapons systems with a pair of seekers.

Modelling wise i was thinking i would basically be glueing 2 broadsides together (front of one to the back of the other, with joints filled in). The railguns would be on the shoulders, while the secondary weapons would be on the arms (all four of them).

sorry if i wasnt clear the first time. if i still dont make sense, then tell me and i'll try to be clearer

Hmmm... maybe you should bump the armour up a bit higher as a stray bolter shell could desroy it at the momment.
I don' like the idea of seeker missiles on a suit.
Otherwise this looks good, I can't wait to see the model.
