I have, I have I say.
I've distilled the workings of my latest half-baked game idea down to its very essence. Mmmm, delicious essence. It's a fleet combat game that's got customisable ships, big guns, and lots of other fun stuff. Oh, and did I mention it's only 1 page long (or at least the basic rules are )?Full Rules (PDF, v8.1) C & C would be much appreciated. I'd also love to get some more playtesting done, whether over VASSAL, the forums/pm, Email or whatever.

looks pretty spiffy so far! simple, no fire arcs, fsr armor, missiles seem kinda expensive for one-shot. how about roll to run out? d6, on a 1 out of missiles.

I see your point though, 2 points for something that's likely to only 1/3 of the time, it needs a boost. Maybe they should be more accurate, hitting on a 2+/3+? Nothing for running out of ammo though, I want to have as little paperwork as possible to keep the game fast moving and free flowing. Right now we only have to track Armour, Shields, and Missiles, two of which can be easily marked on some sort of stat card. Hmm, thinking of that… Would a stat card (blank) similar to the example I provided be of much use? EDIT: If this game proves popular, would people like to see an expansion. Again, only 1 page, but focused on running a campaign or stringing battles together.

When I first saw this, my thought process was something like this:
"Oh no, another player made game system... Wait? What?! One page! I'll have to check it out!" Now I'm pretty glad I did take a second to check it out. It looks like a rather fun little game. I might have to give it a try sometime. As for the expansion, I'd be interested to see it. Maybe have some mission ideas in there, too, like planetary assaults and what-not. Not so sure about the order of firing or even moving. You state that the slowest ships move first, but then go onto the say a faster ship can move before a slower one? Are you trying to say that the first ship you move MUST be the slowest in the fleet, and then it's your choice?

gave it a bit more of a look over, and the distances are... odd. im picturing a grid 120 x 120 inches and thats... really really big. on the other hand if its cm, then its kinda small for getting a nice sized ship on. maybe a 40k-ish system of units? also base sizes, larger pt ships should probably take up more room. how about boosting avoidance-to-damage of really small ships, like the 3 pter?

Ravager, I love it. I've played a game or two proxying models with 100pts limit and I found it very fun. Thanks for showing, and I would love to help out in an expansion if you have any interest...I think Ground Assault would rock.

What's the point of me making stuff like this if I can't share it anyways? Looks the expansion has the go-ahead then. Maybe two expansions even, one focusing on scenarios, the other on running a campaign. Version 2 of the rules uploaded [Fixed a couple of typos, attempted to clarify what's been brought up here].
