Default Tau titan? Sure, why not.

Here's a model for a Tau Titan, which apparently can't exist in 40k because some of our forum mates say it can't, hence it cannot exist in 40k.

Wow, he finally finished that thing. I was following his thread on ATT with my old computer, but lost the link when i moved house. He built EVERY componant from scratch.

Its an amazing bit of work. If you can find the thread i suggest you check it out.

Personally, I think it is the most tauish tau titan I have seen. Hell, if I still had my tau I would get one.

And yeah, it's good to see it finished too. I was following that project a while back too.

Yeah I had looked to that silly walker a long ago, I don't think that looks "tauish" in anyway but is just a matter of personal taste. I don't question the skills of the builder but the project is rather naive, the overall construction is yet amazing.

I don't like it and I hope that FW don't take that path if Tau are ever going to get a Titan.

And I don't know the law from where that guy comes from but all of us are aware of how GW reacts to their copyright infringment (I don't wanna start a discussion about this, is a statement). Making money from registered concepts I think's infringment... but what the heck (...go, go, smell the poison ivy) 8)

I think it does look Tau-ish, have you seen the Buildings from Tau cities and places like that?

This looks like a mobile Bunker, its a moving building, not a vehicle as such.

I don't see the point, Tau extensively use Anti-Grav technology over tracks and legs already and also use Aircraft as an Anti-Titan solution rather than other Titans. It seems highly illogical for Tau to possibly want to build or use such a device.

If the Tau cannot gain Air Superiority, then they will have need of a unit like this.

Fluffwise, yes, its a bit hit and miss if people accept it. As a model its a great peice, and I would have no trouble in letting him play it against me.

Then explain Eldar titans...

Eldar use War Walkers and Wraithlords. That's not what I would call extensive use of Anti-Grav technology, therefore the point is invalid.

Jayne: Yeah it does look rather cool, but I still wouldn't use it if I had a Tau army, I much prefer the look of the Tau aircraft.

They also use a lot of anti-grav which is more advanced than that of the Tau...

Tau use footsoldiers, along with jump infantry who touch the ground between jumps, why not have them so they are anti-grav?
Tau titans make just as much sense as an Eldar titan if you are going about this with any kind of logical thought process.
