Default Basing to Tournament Standard

I have a pastel coloured Eldar army in quite cold colours. To compliment this I would like an ash waste basing theme.
I have found some nice Black decorative sand that I am going to flock my bases with. Do you think this would meet tournament standard?

Yes =)

Bases don't have to be stunning, they just have to be based. You'll be fine.

Crikey! This crazy clown causes commotion like the coming of Christ. Contained in a circle corrupted by crackheads and carnal cravings, he creates no concession to callous cheaters concentrating on nought but cock. Certainly, still a curious and cordial cavalier in the countenance of crazed cads, curs and creeps who condemn courtesy as something corny. No cloud could collapse his crushing crescendo of comical crowing and crimson coiffure. This conjecture on culture comes circumlocutive, consequently...

The beach? I'd imagine some hobby shops do it. What's wrong with Games Workshop's stuff?

What's wrong? My shop just has basic flock stuff.

And all the craft stores I've gone to don't seem to have things like that. Sand and all. Course, I haven't tried the place in Fairfax yet, but that's practically a whole day trip...in another city...over an hour away...and I just got my license.

Whoa, unlucky! Mine has:

-Green flock (pants)
-Sand (awesome)
-Static Grass
-Scorched Static Grass
-Gravel
-Snow

And it has the box that comes with ruins and bits for bases.

Ever heard of "AuNatural" (i think thats how you spell it). They sell massive tubs of sand for really cheap. Just pva it on and paint to your chosen colour then I add static grass.

Lets see -

Sand - nearby building site
Gravel - neaby building site
Coarkboard - "borrowed" from college but can be bought from the hobby shop across the road.
Static grass - bought from hobby shop for 1.50 thats lasted for about 3 years.

So it aint that bad - you just need to dig up a gem of a store.
