At the request of The Immortal Black Mage, I've made a quick tutorial on how to make a Valkyrie.
Step 1) Get together your componants and clean the mold lines off of them. Dark Elf Body and Torso, Space Marine Scout arms and grenade pack, Space Marine Plasma Pistols (left and right handed from the old assault marine sprues), Forgeworld Grav Chute, Wood Elf Archer head, and whatever you happen to be using for barrels. In this case, I'm using the front section of plastic Missiles from a Robotech model kit. ![]() Step 2) Snip the shoulder spikes off the Dark Elf torso to leave a flat area to attach the arms onto. Some of the scout arms need to be flattened as well, depending on which ones you use. The scout arms with a notch in them will need to be shaved down until the notch is gone. Cut the hands off the scout arms. Cut the Pistols right at the top seam with your clippers and then clean them up to be flat. ![]() Step 3) There is a small spike on the back armor of the torso that needs to be shaved off so that the backpack has a flat place to attach to. You'll need a small piece of plasticard to space out the distance between the torso and the backpack. I've used a .06X.188" strip, but most anything will do so long as it's thick enough. ![]() Final Product) Glue on the guns before you glue the head on so that you can make sure she's looking in the right direction. You'll need a small ball of greenstuff glued to the base of the neck when you glue the head on so that it doesn't sit too low into the collar. ![]() There you are, a Valkyrie all ready to be painted up.

Don't tell me that you fell for the MTV lie? The MTV lie is that people who rebel against tradition are thnking for themselves, while those who follow tradition are just sheep who do not think. It is, of course, completely untrue. The decision to follow tradition is just as much an exercize of free will as is the decision to depart from it. |
