Default Kind of an old story but nonetheless shocking...

Well, this is kind of and old story as it happened over a week ago but, at the Battle Bunker in Downer's Grove, Illinois (if any of you have heard of it)-there was a special event called '48 Hours' where the Bunker was open for 48 hours straight, I, unfortunately, didn't get to go.* > Although I talked to some people who were there, I heard lots of stories-but one that really shocked me was that a kid came in, and according to the stories he looked to be about 10 or 11 years old, and began stealing blister packs, he came in and out a couple times, eventually stealing around $500 worth of blisters and other GW stuff. Later, people supposedly saw him taking the models and smashing them apart. The gamers were ticked and the GW staff were even more ticked at this kid, people haven't seen him around since then. We don't know what happened to him.

-Well...er...this has no impact on your life whatsoever, but-Talk about it!* ;D

I'm in the Chicago area too, and I had not heard about this. If people saw someone doing this, why didn't anyone do anything? I live closer to Orland, and they had a shoplifter there not too long ago, and everyone in the store at the time kind of pointed it out, he got caught, manager called his parents, etc etc.

$500 in blisters has to be close to 50 blisters. Someone must have seen something...

I thought it sounded a little suspect as well. I can't imagine all these detailed accounts of someone stealing and no one said anything?

Oh, we all know how urban myth goes. First, it's one guy who steals one blister, and gets caught, the it's one guy who steals five, doesn't get caught, and by the end of the mill, it was an angry platoon of french paratroopers who stormed the building and stole all the blisters.

I think there's some truth to this, but it's exaggerated a little.

Loads of people were always stealing stuff and getting banned from the Liverpool GW.

Some would bring an empty GW case, load it up and just walk out.

Well the only shoplifting scene from GW I've been around was a kid trying to leave the store with one of the small character boxes. Got caught before he left, handed over the goods and was banned.

However, I did happen to catch shoplifters whilst I was working at a Bottle Shop (Liqour Store, or whatever). I was alone and two young guys walked in. One went to the spirits and the other bagen to talk to me. Whilst this guy was talking I happened to catch his mate slipping a small JimBeam bottle into his jacket. They went to leave and they guy talking to me went to buy a can of soft drink to hide his mate walking out. So I charged him for both. When he asked why I charged so much, I pointed out his mates 'item', they then handed both things back and I told them never to return.

I guess it is kinda exaggerated, I should've thought that by the time it went from one store to the next, it would be overblown. But, I'm just telling what I heard.
