Default Arena of Death

http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=5050.0

I was wondering if anyone wanted to enter into one of these again (my apologies to those people who entered into competitions that I failed to finish last time, I can't remember which ones though). Ignore the links at the top of the topic in the link. Some of the information there is also out-dated (such as the references to custom Hive Fleets and Mutant Nid Beasts) and some of it needs to be updated (such as Abhuman Doctrines are allowed).

Oh yes I do... I'm willing to bet good money that the Harlequin Solitaire can slaughter anyone in the AoD, but nobody as of yet was brave/stupid enough to face him in such circumstances! ;D

Made some changes to the original topic concerning a possible Kill Team Arena and minor changes to other Arenas.

Well I think the Solitaire can still go into the under 150pts arenas and whup everyone...And failing that you always have the Grand Harlequin.

I would be interested Subzero if it were set up again as well.

I'm all for it.

In fact I reccomend a bonus round against an uber-thrashy fex.

Ah... Hunter, you've just reminded me of a question.

What if a character winds up in an AoD against a model he cannot wound? eg: Str 3 vs T7, or Str 4 vs T8?

I know it's unlikely, but perhaps a rule saying "no models with a Toughness greater than 6" should be included...

Hmmm, I would say that anything T 6 and above counts as super-heavy, so you can tool your character to kill characters, or great big uber-gribbly monsters, but I don't reccomend both, unless you have one of those wound on a 2+ jobbies.

Okay, modified to compensate for pedantic people.

Hmmm...I can't think of any T7s that are available in any Arena. There are a few T6s though:
Nurgle Princes
Sons of Anteus Biker HQ
Destroyer Lord
Hive Tyrant

But these can be wounded by pretty much everything.

Oh and I modified the Squad Arena slightly.
