Default Chossing a army project

Okay at the moment I am collecting a speed freeks army of orks but the lack the stuff I want (even tho they are cool). I want to have an army I can use in battle and win and have it personalised alot (I like to have fluff and a wicked theme for my armys).

What do you think I should collect ? (bearing in mind I can with for new codexs because ill start this next year)

That narrows the list down to everyone, except maybe Necrons or a sub-Codex list (neither really allow for "wicked themes").

In other words what army do you guys think I should get (dont think about codexs coming out) and there must be some space for modding the army like to a theme

Space Marines and Imperial Guard are both very customisable. Daemonhunters and Witchhunters also offer a lot of freedom. Lost and the Damned and Chaos Space Marines are very varied if you're after something evil. Any of those that you like in particular?

Slaanesh + Khorne... aiya, the blasphemy!

Actually, if you can get hold of the old Noise Marine model then that could make a great Aspiring Champ in a rock themed army. Here's an example of it: http://www.warbossminiatures.com/mikesmodels.htm
