Just wanted to know what draws people to warhammer, personally for me I love the story aspect.

I would've chosen the last, but unfortunately I only understand binary, so its The Art of War for me :P

And i really like to convert my models most. I like also gaming, but converting is my most loved part of the game. (On the other hand i don't like to much painting).

Feel the adrenalin rushing trough your veins when you face your enemy in battle and... try to remember the rules for the tank shock ???
Yeah I like battling, but not so much, that I remember every rule.
For me the conversion is a more important part. Hey, I'm Ork, I'm fated for that ;D

Which aspect?

It's a social game. I get to meet up with people, having a blast for a couple of hours and by the end of the game, you usually have a new "inside" that you and some friends can joke about for years to come. We get to "ooh and awe" over each other's latest conversion or paintjob work and bug each other for secrets on how we do something, etc. We also get to play a good game together, using strategy and quite simply, blowing things up (or chopping things into pieces with big nasty weapons).

I mean, how cool is it to punch in the face plate of a Land Raider with a little marine's Power Fist and it just stop short from the force of that swing. That rocks.

It's a hobby that covers a lot of different bases, allowing a bunch of creativity and some quick analytical thinking exercise. You can go crazy and have a unique and beautiful set of figures that work well together, and then go battle someone else with them, giving you a hobby at home and a hobby at the shop or at your friend's house. I prefer having games at houses, because we can fire up some BBQ and have beer while rolling dice, instead of canning sodas at the shop.

It's a good healthy hobby that I think pretty much anyone could enjoy, at least a single aspect of it (the exception lying on those who only live and breathe it).

Cheers!

Which aspect do I enjoy?

Hmmm

I have never played. i enjoy fluff, but suck at it. Ditto for conversions. Love painting. I don't use it to pick up chicks...

So, yeah, painting for me

I love all of the aspects on the poll except for that last one...

My personal favorite is the converting though.

Am I the only one here who speaks Klingon?* *:-[

Certainly all of the listed aspects appeal to me.* What makes this GW stuff different from all other wargaming is that you get all of the aspects.

I played historical miniatures for decades, but there you get no fluff writing or conversions.* You get only painting and gaming.

In boardgaming you get nothing but playing.

in role playing you get a little of all, but no sense of grand adventure.

I think the appeal is the combination of all of these aspects, hands down.
