Default Kill-team question

Hey everyone! I have a quick question about kill-team. If you give one of your specialists the 'fealess' rule, will this count as your team having ld. 10 for the purposes of ending the game?

I ask because I want to give a grot fearless, thereby making my highest leadership go from a shameful 7 to a respectable 10. My little fearless grot can then go cower in a corner :funny:

I'm not sure. In my opinion, I would say 'yes', but I'm not 100% on that.

The Fearless USR doesn't alter the unit's leadership value. It just makes it so they auto-pass certain tests.

Fearless makes you immune to falling back and pinning, but everything else is fair game. Having fearless makes you can't as leadership 10 for these certain purposes. eg- Mind war

Fearless doesn't change your LD stat. Back in 4th Edition for Blood Angels my fearless chaplains still had to roll less then a 9 for Mind War as 9 was their LD stat. If the fearless rule was intended to always have a 10 or better I'm sure this chaplain would have back then.

So your Grot would still have his grot LD, and should he be mind war-ed then he'll pass off his regular Ld or die.

As has been said, Fearless does not change your LD stat. It simply makes you auto-pass morale and pinning. Your model will automatically pass pinning tests, but he doesn't become LD 10.

As for Kill-team, what is the exact wording on the rolling for game end? Is it a LD test or a Morale test?

I'm not sure. I don't own the book, and there's an upcoming tournament. I was hoping someone here could tell me.

If you where to use 2 vehicles like land speeders you would lose as soon as you lost 1 I think as you cannot take a leadership test due the the fact you have no leadership value.

I don't know the rules for this tournament but the big book states that all vehicles always pass all leadership checks because they have the silly belief that their armor is invincible.

But then again...Land Speeders can be brought down with bolter fire
