Default Warhammer 40k starter armies from started packs. (750pts)

I notice alot of people ask if its a good idea to buy a starter set to get them into the game of Warhamer 40 000 so i thought i would built a few quick army lists using the entirety of each box for a few armies. they aren't meant to be uber death machines they are just meant to show you how easy it is to get into this hobby

So here we go.

First up we have Space Wolves.
A very good new army to start with because it has all the qualities that make the normal Space Marine codex so easy to understand and it is also full of cracker units to help you win.

ok for starters

Wolf Priest
with Combi-melta and the sage of the warrior born (this will just be a proxy model until you can buy your own model but it is easily done by using the most wolfy parts off the sprues you get with your marines and using them to convert your general P.S congrats on your first conversion if you do this for your first time.)
so there is a good quality hero to lead your fledgling force to battle.

Now onto the troop selections.
9 Blood Claws
with Flamer, Powerfist and a drop pod. (your wolf priest will go in this unit for shock attacking vurerable parts of the enemy lines)

10 Grey Hunters
with Flamer, Meltagun, Power fist and a Rhino to move them around the battle field

Elites

5 Space Wolf Scouts
with Melta bombs

Whirlwind
with Extra armour
[hr] [hr]

Tau Empire

Shasél Commander
Missile Pod, Plasma Rifle and Multi tracker

3 Stealth Suits

12 Fire Warriors
Team Leader with marker light and devil fish troop carrier

12 kroot
shaper

6 gun drones

Hammerhead gunship
Railgun, SMS, multi ytracker and decoy launchers

[hr] [hr]

Eldar battle force
Autarch
with Mandi blasters, Scorpion chainsword

6 Striking Scorpions
Exarch with Scorpions Claw and wave serpent withtwin linked Bright Lances, shuriken cannnon and star engines

5 Dire avengers

10 Dire avengers
with exarch with 2 shuriken catapults

10 Guardians
with Scatter laser

1 war walker with 2 bright lances

As promised i did use every model i could from the respective battle boxes these armies get toio choose from, ad to be honest they dont look too shabby at all.

so i hope that at least one person gets help from this and sees just how great the battle force box sets really are!

I dont recall the Tau Battleforce coming with a Hammerhead. It has a Devilfish Troop Carrier. I would definatly equip it with a Dpod though.

D-Pods and Multitrackers are almost Standard Tau equipment.

He didn't include JUST battleforce models.

For the Wolves, I'd replace the whirlwind with a Dakka predator. Whirlwinds aren't really that useful, considering their rather short range.

Whirlwinds have a short range :P ?

I'm pretty sure their range is long, being an artillery tank and all.

I meant for an ARTILLERY piece, it's short ranged. Maybe I'm just used to my Imperial Guard artillery.

I think so. Not a lot in the Space MArine armoury you will note has a range over 48". Actually, off the top of my head I can't think of any. ???

Anyhow, the whirlwind is good for what it does and the fact aht it indirect fires makes up for alot of the range.

Conversion beamer and the Thunderfire can shoot over 48".

Don't get me wrong, I like the whirlwind fine, but for that list, a Dakka Pred would be better, IMO.

Ah right, the new Techpiestie stuff.

Well, maybe I'm just biased to the idea of marines using any armoured vehicle. Tried them but alweays prefered footsloggers for marines. Still, for the price the Whirlwind is a steal for some needed firepower.
