A lot of people have already got pre orders, some times up to 2 weeks before the release date.

Oh enjoy playing BA's :P. They seem like a good army and only due to monetary issues, and orks that I already collect BA's will not be mine.

They have some amazing new models as well.

Meh, I ordered mine to my LGS. I had so many hours booked this week I figured no one would be home during the day ever to pick it up.

lo and behold, I is sick and could have signed for it.

:-\

Ah, well, I still need to finish up all the kits I have before I get started on the new stuff, anyways.

I've only pre-ordered a couple of things.

Konrad Von Carstien, and the SM Vanilla codex. both arrived about a week before official release date, if memory serves.

IMO, its luck of the draw on how soon you get it, but pre-orders aso have the benefit of usually being a lower price, as was the case with my SM codex, as I paid 15 pre-order, and when it officially released they upped the price to 18 ;D

That was a rare and, as far as I recall, unique case as the timing of the release was such that between the pre-orders being allowed and the codex's release date there was a general price increase in the price of all of GW's army books - so whilst it was originally intended to cost fifteen Pounds it ended up costing eighteen, and only those of us lucky enough to pre-order it before the cut off or buy it at Games Day UK (like I did) managed to save the money.

In general, pre-orders are NOT cheaper than buying it on the day of release or later, but as seen here you do have a chance of getting the item/s early.

The only time I pre-ordered something was the SM codex, to get it cheaper.
But I pre-ordered in the shop. The guy said it would come on friday, but it turned out to be saturday, which is when I work, so that wouldn't happen.

Luckily they found mine, though I almost missed my hourly bus.
