Default Scout Moves & Disembarking

I want a bit of clarification on this one since it's a 1st one for me, and it's never occurred to me to do so.

If you have a vehicle with scouts special rule.

Does it get a FULL movement phase? Or is this limited to just a full normal move?

Reason why i ask, is because i'd like to know if Disembarking the unit within also counts as part of this move, or if disembarking is an action during the movement phase specifically.

Please avoid responding without taking a look at what the rules for disembarking and scouts actually says. I myself went back to re-read it. And I still would go with my first assumption that you ONLY get a 'move' and that 'disembarking' is not a move rather an action taken during the movement phase.

But I could be wrong for all I know so wanted to know how everyone else views the matter

Unless the unit inside also has scouts, then no. You cannot, as the unit inside doesn't get free movement.

So would tau pathfinders inside their devilfish be able to have the fish move up 12" in it's scout move and then they get to disembark?

I'm pretty sure that scout merely conveys a "move" and not a "movement phase" so I'm going to go with no.

INAT FAQ 3.3 has it ruled that units can disembark if both the unit and the transport has Scout.

I used to feel the same way about it as you. Thought it'd be a move not a movement phase. Learn something new every day in vassal.

Does the VEHICLE have scout though?

Because its the Tau Pathfinder's Devilfish, they're granted Scout when deployed inside of it. As far as I know, only 2 armies have this situation come up, the Tau Paths and the Marine Scouts with Land Speeder Storm. All the others from what I'm aware of only have the unit or the vehicle, not both.

Akaiyou, I'm not interested in what INAT has to saw, only the RAW.

If a unit have the scout ability than that dedicated transport would also have it. Also you have vehicles with scout.

So this is some other things that would fall under this topic.
Valkyries
Vendettas

Looking it over, it states Scouts may make a normal move, with the only stated restriction being you must be more than 12" away from the enemy. The entry itself states that aside from the restriction, the Scout move can be done exactly as in their movement phase. With vehicles, as long as the vehicle itself has scout or it is the dedicated transport of a unit that has scout, that is inside it, it also gains the scout move as well. So at this point, it's pretty much how is it against the rules to disembark in the Scout move?

Damn Ninja'd, and no Chicop, it doesn't. Vendettas and Valks have Scout, but their units inside do not. They cannot disembark because THAT would be 100% illegal.
