Another fix for the stuck Thread line is to simply Undo a few times. It'll remove the line and it should be available for future usage.

Ah yes, good idea.

Great tutorial. I can see it being a great help for those who don't really understand the program.

Awesome tutorial, though most are covered by the creator himself when he released a tutorial, but yours is much more intuitive.

That aside, is there any way to "play" it? Or is it just some model simulation and not movable?

Playing it is the whole point of the program. It even maintains servers where you can find pick up games of any size with ease.

I assume it'll be played out like some sort of RTS, the game does reminds me alot of Close Combat series back in the 90s. Sprites galore. :P

Otherwise, pity GW was being a dick about copyrights, I remembered they did something similar to a movie some Germans made for Warhammer as well.

No, Dawn of War is the program you want if you would like 40k in an RTS format. Vassal plays it exactly the same as you would on a gaming table, except you can build any army on any board of any points limit (Providing you can fit the models on :P)

Oh, if you start the program and go to "own size", you can make a board whatever size you want. I made a 12'x12' board; I assume it goes on larger than that.

It can be pretty damn large, possibly nigh-infinitely so, but I wouldn't recommend any games more than 2,500 points. Beyond that is the realm of Apocalypse and you're looking at very, very long games.

Yes, I agree, even between multiple players. I understand play-testing armies or models you don't own, or just every now and then bust out this crazy idea. But 2500 points worth of models? Really?
