Default Turn 1 Assault

how many armies are able to assault in turn one of a game under the right circumstances

The only one i know is the blacktemplar....when they play an army with a phyker they choose be pure of body, mind and sould and all there units get a special move of 2D6 before the game starts

i had a go at it and i got 3/4 of my force into assault in the first turn.....at the start of the game you start off 24 inches away from the enemy if you get double 6's for your normal units they just get there, but with the assault squads they only have tp get 6 inches with the special move then they move 12" then assault 6" more....they have the ability to move 30" in the first turn wich is WICKED

Are there any other armies that can do this??

Ork speed freeks, a trukk boyz squad can move 12" a turn and disembark 2", charge 6" and add 1" to the move for red paint job

If they setup within 18" you can make it with assauly marines, bikes or cav.

Dark Eldar. If they have thier transports which count as open topped they can assault somewhere in the range of 36 inches in a turn.

nice, has anyone have this happen to them or have they pulled this off and destroyed there enemies in 2 turns....can anymore races assault in the first turn...we have BT, ORKS and Dark Elder....anymore??

Well, I ahve seen the Dark Eldar force a phase out in the second turn so i suppose that counts.

an infiltrating chaos lord with daemonic speed or whatever it is that gives s 12" charge has 1st-turn-assaulted my guardians many a time.

Eldars weith infiltrate

18" away due to not LOS i.e. behind a terrain piece. roll a 6 for difficult terrain and fleet of foot and then 6" charge

13th company, wolfen get a free scout move first turn, then move 6+d6" a turn...they can potentially have moved up to 24" in turn 1. and in some scenarios, the entire 13th co army can be in combat by the first turn

(yep, just making a look-in...it's yet another week before i have to live here full-time again )

apocalyptic: the only assault-oriented infiltrating unit in the eldar army is the striking scorpion. they have a 3+ save. this means they cannot FoF. sorry.
