Default Kill pts. question

Hi guys,

In the annihilation mision, do a unit's transport gives a separate kill pts. ?
In other words, if I kill both a unit and it's transport do I get 1 KP or 2 ?
Does it depends if the transport is an asigned transport o not ?

Thanks in advance.

They count as two separate kill points, although I cannot recall if this is stripped by dedicating the transports. I'll delve into it further when I get the chance if no one knows for certain next time I check the thread. My current belief is it makes no difference if the transport is dedicated.

However, in a similar question I was wondering if each Zoanthrope counted as a separate kill point and again I believe the answer is yes, but I'm not certain as the only clarification is "Zoanthropes are deployed as a single unit, but do not need to be placed together and operate independently during the game" and the rule for kill points is "each player receives 1 'kill point' for each enemy unit that has been completely destroyed". Again something I'll need to look into further.

Quite possibly the rule of thumb should probably be (retinues aside): if it takes up a slot on the force organization chart it counts for a kill point.

dedicated transports do count for kill points, i remember they changed this for the ard' boyz (on the rule sheet) and i was the judge.

I believe in standard kill-point rules each independently-acting unit is a kill-point. So each sniper team, or each zoanthrope would give up a kill point, making 3 for that force-org if it was maxed out and you killed them all. Dedicated transports also give a kill-point in addition to the unit they are transporting.

Ard Boyz rules changed things quite a bit, and I like that version better. Ard Boyz scoring is based on force-org slots, not units, and dedicated transports are not worth anything.
