Default forgotten models

What should one do with forgotten models that are not deployed? Should the be kept in reserve or should not in the battle. It does not seem fun to beat someone because they forgot to deploy something but then people could get to take advantage of this.

They forget to take it out of the case. It occurs with new lists. It has happened before.

If someone forgot to deploy (which I have done), I'd let them come in from reserves, but only from their deployement zone, so no outflanking or anything like that unless they had that special rule.

Which would be fairly consistent with the rules. Outflank & Deep Strike must be declared upon placing a unit in reserves. I would tend to just assume that the units are automatically in reserves as well. That seems fair because it's a pain in the butt but not such a pain that it can't be overcome (like saying that the units were lost altogether would be).

Yeah, but if you actually forget part of your army, I think you sort of deserve not to have it in battle.

You try counting out over 100 Orks in various stages of painting and tell me you'll get every one of them right :P

If they do manage to leave out an entire unit then I'll let them come in from reserves (if they can show me their unit on their army roster, all upgrades and etc, to prove they actually have it)

If they leave out random models from a unit, as long as they can show me a roster for the game we're playing, and it adds up, I'll let them put it in.

.... you can actually forget about an entire unit? I can see forgetting a model or two, but a unit?

Trust me it has happened before. Dac has done it. Some people are forgetful or if you play many different point sizes it could happen.

Heck, I've done it with deep striking Crisis suits. Due to the location we were playing, I had to put them on a bookshelf. Missed them for like 3 turns. In the end my buddy just let me DS them, but it was a bit late!

Hope. This is not a plan. This is not a solution. It is reaction.
