Yeah...I don't want to hear it. You guys tell me again how much the Tau have gained from Fifth edition. Tell me again how we were supposed to place so much better in 'Ard Boys. Yeah... I just don't want to hear any opposition to our test results unless you post tests of your own.

Tau placed three spots in the top ten last 'Ard Boys. Now? The only Tau on the list is in the 30th place. Yeah...

So, to those still interested, go check out my changes I've been testing in the New Tau Codex thread (in the Tau board) and start helping me. The results of our testing will be sent to Jervis Johnson personally, I will post his response if we get one. The only way for us to help GW help us (and raise their profit potential) is to help them just as Druuchi.net helped the DE in Fantasy for the old edition.

To have a chance at this working, I will need the help of every member I can. Druchii.net performed hundreds of tests and were in constant touch with GW, I hope we at TO can bring another wonderful phase to GW.

Heh, just noticed the guy who knocked my buddy out of the semi-finals placed 12th...Not bad if I do say so myself. Especially since my buddy was cheated by another (different) Ork player.

I was glad to see Orks making such an impact.

Last years first and second placers were also divided a lot more than this one...It must have been close.

Just as fun to see: Black Templars 1st for Space Marines, 2nd for Imperium. Hell yeah! Though the amount of Chaos in general....good lord.

I was surprised at that. I kept hearing of Chaos getting neutered...I suspect foul trickery on the part of CSM'ers now. They placed very, very well as an army.

Deraj, Believe it or not, but DE come out in force when there's a serious tournament. They're not to be underestimated. They may have an old codex, but you can't can call them underpowered by any stretch of the word.

I know, I play them. It's just fun to see, it still gives me hope for my longest standing army.

Relax dude. While I personally agree that 5th hurt tau more than it helped, saying things like this just runs the risk of causing the thread to burst into flames. Even though this is an Ard Boyz event it doesn't necessarily mean that it's the perfect barometer of which lists need work and which may be too powerful. Sure, it may give some indication, but there are other factors at play such as dice, how players matched up and simply who was in the driver's seat.

you are right, someone should bring it up on the tau board

and while its not a barometer, and taking dice into account, what is the chance the tau didnt have any good games? and it is the closest thing to a barometer, unless you want to test every variant of every list and have a program that randomly gives you a number as compared to a dice which can be thrown off by terrain/models/ect
