Default pinning vs. Repentia

I didn't find the answer to this in the search so I'm asking here.

If a Sister Repentia Squad takes the Massive wounds required in the "Righteous Zeal" Rule, but they take them due to pinning weapons, and they fail said test, are they pinned or do they move towards the enemy?

Here's the rule "Should they ever fail a Morale check they will move 2D6" towards the nearest enemy unit,"

Hope. This is not a plan. This is not a solution. It is reaction.

Morale checks are not Leadership tests.

Pinning is a Leadership Test.

I think he's asking what happens to the Repentia if they fail both a pinning test and a morale test for taking... what is it now... 25% casualties.

They'd have to take the Pinning test first I believe, then the Morale test. If the pinning fails, that's it.

That is what I'm asking, sorry if it wasn't clear. I wanted to know what order the repentia took the tests in, and if one rule over ruled the other. Pinning tells the repentia not to move, but their special rule tells them they have to move. So I was unclear on which order things happened in.

The pinning test happens first. Pinning tests occur immediately after a unit suffers unsaved wounds from a pinning weapon, while all morale tests to avoid falling back (or in this case forward) happen at the end of the shooting phase.

According to the description of Going to Ground (p24,) which is the result of a failed pinning test (p31,) it states that it will react to enemy actions normally, including morale checks. Since a compulsory movement due to failed morale test (i.e. Falling Back) would be made normally, that should also mean that this would apply as well.

So after being pinned, failing the morale test would overrule the unit's actions.

I guess it may be fair to say that the Repentia move forward, but are still considered pinned. (They cannot go to ground)
